6 Things You Will Love About Cape May Cafe In Walt Disney World Resort

Cape May Café is a fun, delicious restaurant located at Disney’s Beach Club. You can access the location by driving over, taking a bus or even taking a boat ride from Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios or the Boardwalk. This restaurant is one that seems to be much underrated since it doesn’t get the same amount of press as many of the other restaurants on property. Here are 6 things that you will love about Cape May Café:

6. Character dining

For breakfast, Cape May Café is a lively character breakfast. At this breakfast you can expect to likely encounter Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and now Daisy while you enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet. The breakfast is at the Beach Club, so the characters are in their fun beach attire to interact and mingle with you and your family. The characters interact with fun beach-like activities and are all ready to help you feel like you really are right by the beach. Have your cameras and autograph books ready so that you can get the most out of your character interaction.

5. All you care to enjoy

Cape May offers breakfast and dinner services and both of these services are all you care to enjoy offerings. Breakfast is your traditional breakfast fare with a bit of a beach-like flair. The dinner is a seafood buffet with amazing seafood options. You have crab legs, mussels, clams, salmon, various kind of shrimp, etc. This is a meal that was designed for seafood lovers and one that you definitely want to make sure that you are hungry for. The meal is also accompanied by many sides including salad, vegetables, pastas, etc. I like to make sure that I skip lunch before this one since it would be a shame to miss out on trying everything!

4. Easier to obtain reservations

As you likely already know or have heard, character dining experiences at Disney book up extremely fast. This location is one of the last character dining experiences to fill up since it isn’t in one of the theme parks or on the monorail track. It takes a little more effort for guests to get to this location, so they tend to pick the other locations first. This is great news for you since this is a quality dining experience that you don’t have to overly stress about getting a reservation for. I would still always recommend making your dining reservations as early as possible so that you know for sure you get the time and day you are looking for, but you can at least know you can likely pick this one up later.

3. The views and atmosphere

The views from this location are beautiful. They overlook the beautiful Beach Club, which if you haven’t seen, you definitely need to do so. The atmosphere is bright and decorated in bright pastels like you would see in normal beach décor. There are beautiful backlit beach scenes throughout the restaurant and decorations from notorious beach activities like croquet adorning the walls. You will feel like you have steps right into a high-end beach town and ready to hear the ocean waves.

2. A trip to the Beach club

If you ever needed an excuse to visit the beautiful Beach Club, then this is your opportunity. The resort is stunning and perfectly themed like all things that Disney does. You definitely need to make a trip over to explore the resort and this is a great destination along the way. You won’t be able to swim in the amazing pool unless you are staying at the resort, but definitely check it out. It will make you want to book your next stay over at the Beach Club! During the holidays, there are also extra décor that you definitely don’t want to miss.

1. The delicious food

In case you didn’t catch it already, the food is absolutely delicious. My family is a seafood-eating family, so we absolutely love the dinner. It is a great value since you can eat as much as you want, and seafood is usually on the pricier side. My husband and I love to enjoy the crab legs, which is probably our favorite part of the experience since we are such huge fans! You definitely want to try to add this less popular, but delicious location to one of your upcoming visits.

About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane first started visiting Walt Disney World when she was two years old, and despite spending most of that trip quarantined with the chicken pox she managed to fall in love with the place. Visiting WDW every year since, she especially loves learning all about the history and small details of the parks and eating/drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each fall. When she's not in Disney, Caitlin lives in New York and spends her time counting down the days to her next trip.
