The highlight of the pool area is a massive serpent who is winding his way around the water. His name is Scales and he is being ridden by Poseidon with his mouth acting as a fun waterslide for guests to zip down. For those looking to relax more, there are plenty of pool chairs in addition to a hot tub and kiddie pool. Nearby is also the Mardi Grogs Pool Bar which serves up delicious options for guests to enjoy while soaking up the sun.

3. Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory –

The main dining location at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort is the quick service Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory. The location is set up to look like the factory warehouse where larger than life Mardi Gras parade floats are created and guests are sure to love the ambiance. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day, guests can enjoy options like French Toast, Biscuits and Gravy, Chicken Quesadilla, Fried Shrimp, Catfish Po’ Boy, Jambalaya, and Pork Roast. The bakery counter at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory served up these delicious snacks in sets of three or six and they are the perfect treat after a long day in the parks!

1. The Sassagoula —

Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort is situated along the banks of the mighty Sassagoula River which gurgles by gently throughout the day. Not only can guests enjoy beautiful views of the water from certain rooms and the walking path, but they can also use an easy mode of transportation to Disney Springs. There is a small dock near Doubloon Lagoon from which guests can board small boats which run continuously to and from Disney Springs! This ride is both easygoing and beautiful as guests enjoy convenient transportation with beautiful views.
