6. Grand Floridian Society Orchestra

The orchestra definitely gives you a feeling of grandeur as soon as you enter the lobby of this amazing resort. The orchestra performs every evening from 4PM – 10PM to entertain guests as they make their way through the resort to and from their meals and as they come and go from the resort. The performance is amazing with so many fan favorites perfectly executed with so much style. This becomes a favorite part of staying at the resort for many visitors.

5. Amazing Dining Options

This resort is home to 5 different table service dining options. 2 of these dining options are signature dining experiences, Citricos and Narcoossee’s. Both offer amazing menus and unique selections. Narcoossee’s is the only restaurant at the resort that is actually located on the water with amazing views of the Magic Kingdom. 1900 Park Fare is the character dining location for the resort. The restaurant serves the meals buffet style and is elegant in every way. Grand Floridian Café is another delicious stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Victoria and Albert’s is awarded as a AAA Five Diamond restaurant, which also makes it one of the classiest and grandest restaurants in all of Florida. It is easy to see how you will never go hungry when you stay at this resort!

4. Senses Spa

Who doesn’t love a world class spa? You can have facials, massages, wraps, manicures, pedicures, etc. There is a whole list of amazing services that you can enjoy for a day of pampering by yourself for any reason at all. No need to wait for a special occasion to enjoy this amazing spa. The spa uses top quality productions, including vegan approved products. Senses also has delicious treats and refreshments for guests, so you can spend hours with no worries. You definitely want to make reservations in advance so that you can fit this into your next stay, and only walking distance from your room!

3. Monorail and Boat Transportation

The Disney buses are great, and many kiddos view the buses as rides all in their own right. The buses are still there, but having the monorail and boat transportation is an amazing feature! You can take a boat to the Magic Kingdom, or to other resorts close to the monorail. This means that you can experience many of the other restaurants and experiences at these fabulous resorts quickly and easily. The monorail will take you to Epcot, The Contemporary and The Polynesian Village resort as well as the Ticket and Transportation Center where you can catch the Epcot monorail. This gives you all kind of options to get where you want to be with less lines to wait for transportation. Plus the monorail and boats are just plain fun!

2. Nightly Turndown Service

Every guest room at the Grand Floridian receives a nightly turndown service with treats left on the pillows. This resort is the only resort to offer that service in every guest room at the resort without the service exclusive being a club level guest. This is a nice little extra that adds your grand, elegant experience at the resort.

1. Victorian Elegance

Everything about the resort is perfectly themed and decorated to amplify the charm and Victorian elegance that is the intended feel. The beautiful white trim and intricate details in every square in of the resort leave you feeling grand and classy during your entire stay. The resort is lavish and exquisite from top to bottom, and if you are looking to feel regal, this is definitely the resort for you.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
