
Of the four theme parks in Walt Disney World, many guests spend the majority of their time in the Magic Kingdom. The park opened in 1971 and has been amazing guests ever since with lands filled with fantasy, adventure, and excitement. 6. Haunted Mansion –
One of the most beloved attractions in all of Walt Disney World can be found in Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom. The Haunted Mansion is perched high atop a hill and entices guests to venture inside to be both amused and scared. Guests first pass through an interactive graveyard before moving through the foyer and stretching room to board their Doom Buggies. Once on board, guests come face to face with the nine hundred and ninety nine happy haunts who reside in the Haunted Mansion causing eerie effects in classic scenes like the ballroom and graveyard. Guests can also enjoy meeting classic characters like Master Gracey, the disembodied Ghost Host, Madame Leota, Constance the murderous bride, and the three hitchhiking ghosts who threaten to follow them home!
5. Pirates of the Caribbean –
Another classic attraction that is a favorite of many guests in the Magic Kingdom can be found in Adventureland. Pirates of the Caribbean invites guests to enter into the Castillo del Morro and emerge in a seaside village for a voyage they won’t soon forget. Guests pass through eerie caves and plunge down a dark drop to emerge in the middle of a raging battle between a ship manned by Captain Barbossa and the fort. Pirates of the Caribbean then brings guests through a burning seaside village that is being ransacked by the mischievous pirates. Guests can chuckle along with humorous scenes and sing along to the classic song “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life For Me)” while trying to spot Captain Jack Sparrow along the way.
4. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train –
One of the newest attractions in the Magic Kingdom is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in New Fantasyland. The attraction brings guests through the quaint forest where the Seven Dwarfs live and into the mines where they work every day collecting gems. Once on board the gently swaying mine carts, guests can enjoy a smooth ride around the mountain which offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. Guests can even sing along with the dwarfs after entering into their mine as the work day is ending. A highlight of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is the last scene before guests disembark where they can watch the dwarfs dance along with Snow White while being watched by the Evil Queen.
3. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad –
For guests who are looking for a thrilling ride through the Wild West, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is sure to amaze them! The attraction brings guests into the mining town of Tumbleweed where a series of earthquakes and floods have quieted business down a bit. Once on board the wildest ide in the wilderness, guests find themselves whipping around the mountain through tight turns and sharp drops while passing by plenty of animals, dinosaur bones, and a local town establishment.
2. Space Mountain –
Another attraction that packs big thrills in the Magic Kingdom can be found in Tomorrowland. Space Mountain dominates the skyline of the land in a building with a massive futuristic looking roof with long, white, exposed beams. Once inside, guests move through Starport 75, an intergalactic spaceport, towards the loading area. Once on board the attraction vehicles, guests find themselves blasting off into the galaxy for an adventure that is our of this world in near darkness! Space Mountain features two different tracks, Alpha and Omega, and guests love returning to experience both sides.
