7. It’s Complimentary

Disney transportation is complimentary to any guests who are visiting the property making it the perfect way to get around. Guests who are staying at a Disney Resort can move to any theme park, water park, or Disney Springs via buses, ferries, boats, and the monorail. Guests who are visiting the theme parks can also travel easily to other theme parks or any Disney Resort via the same modes of transportation. Disney insiders absolutely love the complimentary transportation at Walt Disney World and enjoy using it to easily get around while on vacation.

6. The Monorail

A favorite mode of transportation for many guests is the monorail. The iconic monorail trains are predominantly white with a colorful stripe which provides them with their names. The monorail primarily runs near the Magic Kingdom and guests who are staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa can easily hop aboard the Resort Loop monorail to travel directly to the Magic Kingdom or Transportation and Ticket Center. Guests who are looking to travel to Epcot via the monorail can simply transfer to a different line at the Transportation and Ticket Center and find themselves at their destination within minutes! Disney insiders absolutely love the monorail system, especially when gliding through Disney’s Contemporary Resort and reciting the iconic safety spiel!

5. Special Music

The buses used in Disney’s transportation system have a special way of having guests build excitement while heading towards the parks. Just before reaching the drop off point at any of the theme parks, music from that park begins playing making guests even more excited for their amazing day to come. For example, as a bus pulls up near the bus depot at the Magic Kingdom, the Mickey Mouse March begins to play. In addition to music playing while on the way to the parks, music reminiscent of the theme of each Disney Resort is played while the buses head back to them. This music allows guests to wind down after spending time in the parks and get ready to arrive at their amazing and relaxing Disney Resort.

4. Friendship Boats

Disney insiders know that some of the best views of World Showcase in Epcot can be seen from Friendship Boats which operate across World Showcase Lagoon. There are two different boat paths, both of which launch from the entrance to World Showcase from Future World. One Friendship Boat travels to the Germany Pavilion and the other travels to the Morocco Pavilion giving guests on board amazing views of the various countries along the way.

3. Boats To Disney Springs

A great way to travel to and from Disney Springs can be found at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort, Disney’s Old Key West Resort, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. These Disney Resorts are nestled on the shores of the Sassagoula River and guests are able to hop aboard small boats that head directly down the river to Disney Springs. The boats make several stops throughout the Disney Springs area making it easy to get to any shopping location or restaurant.

2. It’s Reliable

Perhaps the best thing about Disney transportation is that it is extremely reliable! With buses, boats, and ferries running every twenty minutes and the monorail running even more frequently, guests never have to wait long before boarding their ride and being whisked off to their Disney destination.

1. Not Having To Worry!

Disney insiders absolutely love Disney transportation because it allows them to kick back on their vacations and not have to worry! Guests who use Disney transportation don’t have to worry about driving, sitting in traffic, parking, or remembering where they parked! They can simply hop aboard any Disney transportation vehicle and travel comfortably and easily to their Disney destination.

About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane first started visiting Walt Disney World when she was two years old, and despite spending most of that trip quarantined with the chicken pox she managed to fall in love with the place. Visiting WDW every year since, she especially loves learning all about the history and small details of the parks and eating/drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each fall. When she's not in Disney, Caitlin lives in New York and spends her time counting down the days to her next trip.
