8 Must-Do Attractions At Walt Disney World’s Epcot

Walt Disney World is home to four amazing theme parks including the beloved Epcot. The park opened in October 1982 and has been amazing guests ever since with its two totally unique halves. Future World makes up the front of the park and is home to innovative attractions and experiences that pay homage to technology and nature. The rear of Epcot is home to World Showcase which features eleven different pavilions that each celebrate a country from around the world through cuisine, culture, shopping, architecture, history, and more. With so much to see and enjoy in Epcot, guests might not know where to start and become overwhelmed. While every experience in the park is enjoyable, some are so amazing that they simply cannot be skipped. From thrilling attractions to fun for the whole family, Epcot has something for everyone. Here are eight specific attractions or entertainment that guests must enjoy in Epcot.

1. Soarin’ Around the World

One of the most popular attractions in Epcot can be found on the lower level of The Land Pavilion in Future World. Soarin’ Around the World invites guests to take flight on a high flying adventure over some of the most beautiful locations in the world. Guests can feel as though they are hang gliding over the Great Wall of China, Mount Kilimanjaro, Iguazu Falls, the Eiffel Tower, Sydney Harbor, and even Epcot. With thrills and beautiful views, it is no wonder why guests love this amazing attraction.

2. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet

Found in Future World East is another thrilling attraction that allows guests to also be creative. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet brings guests into the design studio and has them create their very own SIM cars with control over everything from the tire size to paint color. Guests can then test their cars on the track in Responsiveness, Efficiency, Power, and Capability before enjoy a high speed outdoor portion of track at the end. Guests love to enjoy a ride on Test Track Presented by Chevrolet as the attraction calculates which guest SIM car has scored the highest and earned bragging rights.

3. Frozen Ever After

The Norway Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase is home to an amazing attraction that brings one of the most successful Disney animated films of all time to life. Frozen Ever After has guests set sail for Arendelle where Anna and Elsa are hosting a summer celebration. Guests can see favorite characters including Sven, Olaf, and Kristoff before finding Elsa belting out the classic “Let It Go” from her icy balcony.

4. Spaceship Earth

One of Epcot’s most classic attractions can be found just inside the main entrance to the park. Spaceship Earth invites guests to embark on a journey from the beginning of time to present day to celebrate the history of communication. Along the way, guests can enjoy a narration by Dame Judi Dench and experience scenes from important moments in history such as man landing on the moon and the invention of the printing press. No visit to Epcot is complete without enjoying a ride on Spaceship Earth.

5. Mission: SPACE

Guests who dream of blasting off into outer space definitely need to visit a thrilling attraction in Future World. Mission: SPACE brings guests into the International Space Training Center where they can train for two special space missions. Guests who choose the less intense green team can enjoy an orbital loop of the Earth with beautiful views of popular geographic locations. Those who choose the more intense Orange Team blast off on a mission to Mars and experience strong G forces along the way.

6. Living with the Land

Found just across the lower level of The Land Pavilion from Soarin’ Around the World is a serene attraction that teaches guests about the importance of the land. Living with the Land has guests board boats and set off to first learn about how the land can thrive in all sorts of environments. Guests can then enjoy beautiful and massive greenhouses that are home to different vegetation that is being grown using new and innovative technologies.

7. The American Adventure

The America Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase is home to an amazing show that brings the story of the American people to life. The American Adventure combines artwork, music, recorded speeches, audio-animatronics, and more to bring the thrilling tale to life. Guests are sure to feel patriotic after this amazing presentation and also can learn some interesting things about history that they might not have known.

8. The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros

The Mexico Pavilion in World Showcase is also home to an attraction that showcases the beauty and diversity of the country. The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros is a fun filled boat ride that brings guests on an adventure with Jose and Panchito as they search Mexico to find Donald in time for their concert. Showing the beauty and culture of Mexico, this attraction can’t be missed!
