9. Meet Mickey Mouse –

No visit to Walt Disney World is complete without a visit with the mouse himself. One of the best places to meet Mickey is at Town Square on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. Mickey is decked out in his magician’s outfit for a great photo op!

8. Take a Picture In Front of the Castle –

Cinderella Castle is the most iconic building in all of Walt Disney World and is the sight at the end of Main Street that draws guests into the Magic Kingdom. One thing that simply must be done on every Disney vacation is to take a picture in front of the Castle. A great family tradition can be started by picking a certain spot with the Castle in the background and taking a picture there of the whole family on every trip.

7. Eat Somewhere New –

Disney dining options are so vast that there are seemingly endless choices when looking to book an advanced dining reservation. With so many options to choose from, old favorites should be revisited, but guests should make a point of trying somewhere new on each Disney vacation. Some great options to try if you haven’t before are Coral Reef Restaurant in Epcot, Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen in the Magic Kingdom, and Tiffins in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

6. Explore World Showcase –

No matter how many times a guests travels to Epcot’s World Showcase, there is always going to be something new to discover. With each pavilion being so rich in detail and culture, guests will find a new detail simply by wandering through the areas and taking their time. With so much to see and experience, exploring World Showcase is a must do on every Disney vacation.

5. Watch Stacey –

While relaxing in any hotel room at a Disney Resort, a must do to be entertained is to turn on the television and watch Stacey. Stacey is host of a series of must dos that each guest should experience in the parks and she features some great attractions and experiences in a fun and informative way. Watching Stacey share her must dos is a must do on a Disney vacation!

4. Take Tons of Pictures –

There is no better tradition to uphold on every Disney vacation than taking lots of pictures. From silly faces to posing with the characters, pictures are a must do to help us remember all of the great memories made and fun had on each vacation!

3. Relax by the Pool –

A Walt Disney World vacation can be tons of fun but also super tiring. With high Central Florida temperatures and lots of walking, guests can find themselves exhausted by the end of a day in the parks. A must do on every Disney vacation to ensure that everyone stays relaxed and energized is to spend some time lounging by the pool. Each Disney resort offers up some amazing themed pools for guests to enjoy and no vacation should be completed without some pool time.

2. Watch Happily Ever After Fireworks –

Fireworks have always been the perfect way to wrap up a day at Magic Kingdom! Happily Ever After Fireworks has replaced Wishes, but has thankfully lived up to the beautiful display of fireworks, lasers, projection, music, and storytelling Magic Kingdom is known for. With 18-minutes of “heart, heroism, and humor”, Happily Ever After will send you on your way with your own “happily ever after” ending to an unforgettable Magic Kingdom day!

1. Have a Mickey Premium Bar –

One of the most iconic and recognizable snacks at Walt Disney World is the Mickey Premium Bar. Featuring vanilla ice cream coated in a chocolate shell and shaped like Mickey, this treat is a great way to cool down on a long day in the parks. No vacation is complete without enjoying one of these classic treats.

About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane first started visiting Walt Disney World when she was two years old, and despite spending most of that trip quarantined with the chicken pox she managed to fall in love with the place. Visiting WDW every year since, she especially loves learning all about the history and small details of the parks and eating/drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each fall. When she's not in Disney, Caitlin lives in New York and spends her time counting down the days to her next trip.
