Universal Orlando Resort has closed another attraction, and this time, we’re not sure how long it might be shut down.
Universal Orlando is in the process of updating and building a third theme park, titled Epic Universe, but currently, there are two theme parks available for guests heading to the popular destination. Guests planning their next Universal vacation may be disappointed with the number of attraction closures at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure.
There are numerous attraction set to close down at Universal Studios Florida. To begin, E.T. Adventure, is set for closure May 6 – May 15, 2024. Following that closure, Revenge of the Mummy: June 17 – June 22, 2024, and Fast & Furious – Supercharged – August 19 – November 3, 2024, are both closing down for refurbishment, though there are some rumors that the Fast & Furious attraction could close down permanently.
MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack is also set to close down from November 4 – December 10, 2024. Guests wonder if this closure will help with the amount of delays that happen with this attraction.
Over at Universal Islands of Adventure in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Nighttime Lights At Hogwarts™ Castle has closed indefinitely. Also, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish will be closed starting April 27 through May 24, 2024.
During the winter months, water attractions tend to close for updates. However, that’s not the only attraction to close down: Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls will be closed from October 1, 2024 – January 2, 2025 for an extended refurbishment.
Adding to all of this, Pteranodon Flyers in the Jurassic Park area has been shut down for several days with no reopening date in sight.
With Pteranodon Flyers now listed among the temporarily closed attractions, Universal Orlando guests and enthusiasts alike are left eagerly awaiting further updates. Pteranodon Flyers offers a soaring aerial adventure aboard a suspended glider, providing bird’s-eye views of the surrounding landscape.
Jurassic Park is one of the most beloved lands within Universal Orlando Resort. Inspired by the iconic film franchise, Jurassic Park transports Universal guests into a prehistoric world filled with awe-inspiring dinosaurs, thrilling attractions, and immersive experiences.
Upon entering Jurassic Park, guests are greeted by lush greenery, towering palm trees, and the iconic Jurassic Park gates, reminiscent of the films. The land is designed to evoke the sense of wonder and adventure experienced by characters in the movies, immersing guests in the world of dinosaurs. Guests heading to the Jurassic Park area can enjoy attractions like Jurassic World Velocicoaster and Jurassic Park River Adventure.
Younger guests can embark on their own dinosaur-themed adventure at Camp Jurassic, an interactive play area featuring climbing structures, water features, and hidden surprises waiting to be discovered.
While Pteranodon Flyers is set for smaller guests, this is just another attraction for young guests not to be able to enjoy since One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, and Blue Fish will be closed starting April 27 for an extended period of time.
