Walt Disney World is full of iconic attractions, shows and experiences. Lines and phrases from these provide Disney fanatics with a warm feeling of comfort and nostalgia when they hear them and remind them of magical memories and moments they have had with their loved ones. These are 8 of my favorite things to hear at Disney that my family cherish and recite even when we aren’t at the parks:

1. “Welcome Home!”:
Whether you first hear it when you arrive at the Magical Express pick-up location at the airport, or when you check in at your Disney resort, this is the first thing you hear that makes it official… you are at Disney World! There is something about hearing those two simple words that causes the excitement to build and the realization that the magic has started. You are home!
2. “Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor manténganse alejado de las puertas.”:
We all love the regularly repeated safety message that gives Walt Disney World fanatics a bi-lingual classification! I don’t think I can ride the monorail without at least saying the phrase in my head, and it always remind me of the comfort of Disney magic.
3. “But of course, there’s always MY way! [Insert spooky laugh]”:
The Haunted Mansion is a favorite attraction that is also iconic for Disney World. Many of us can quote the entire experience in the stretching room! Don’t forget to look up and witness the ghost host’s way out! [Insert spooky laugh]. They have 999 happy haunts there, but there’s always room for 1000!
4. “Dead men tell no tales!”:
Just try to wait in the queue or ride the ride without you or someone in your party repeating this phrase! I don’t think it can be done! This phrase starts a fan favorite attraction, Pirates of the Caribbean. I don’t know about you guys, but it’s a pirate’s life for me!

5. “Will you marry me?”:
Disney proposals happen often and are exceptionally magical. If you are lucky enough to witness a Disney proposal, it is a memorable experience. You get to be a witness to someone’s moment of a lifetime. I have witnessed proposals at Cinderella’s Royal Table and in front of Cinderella Castle and the genuine excitement and love that you witness gives you a little extra Disney magic.
6. “And this elevator travels directly to…. The Twilight Zone!”:
How many of you let out a scream in the library after this one to startle those around you? I am occasionally guilty! This thrilling attraction is another favorite, with amazing theming from the moment that you see the Hollywood Tower Hotel at its home on Sunset Blvd. at Hollywood Studios. You must “drop” in and experience it for yourself! “You are about to discover what lies beyond the fifth dimension, beyond the deepest, darkest corner of the imagination… in the Tower of Terror.”
7. “[Insert your family name here], party of X, your table is ready”:
Disney dining is an exciting component of the full WDW vacation experience. You have a long tired day at the parks, or maybe you are just starting your day with a character breakfast, but either way, you can’t help but smile and feel the excitement rise as soon as your family’s name is called to be seated and enjoy another piece of the magic. (You could also just be ready to put your baby in a high chair, order a drink, rest your feet and cool off. That is still purely magical!)
8. “There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day.”:
The Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom is a fan favorite for classic Walt fans. This is the attraction that Walt took to the World’s Fair, and it holds a near and dear place in our hearts for the nostalgia and appreciation for Mr. Walt Disney.
There are so many amazing attraction, music and cast member quotes and sounds that instantly remind you of being home at our beloved Walt Disney World! I could probably create a list a mile long and regular Disney travelers would recognize each and every one of them and think back to fond memories of their own vacations and experiences.
