Disney is changing the menu at one iconic eatery.
In recent years, Disney has quietly leveled up its theme park dining. Menus have expanded, ingredients have improved, and variety has increased, particularly at quick-service locations that serve the largest share of visitors each day.
Plant-based options are now common rather than exceptional. Specialty beverages have become a focus area, often driving repeat visits. The range of seasonal coffee drinks offered at Disneyland Resort during the 2025 holiday season underscored how much that category alone has grown.
These changes have not been limited to headline restaurants. Smaller locations across the parks have also been refreshed, often incrementally, with menus adjusted to better align with current dining trends and guest feedback.
That approach is now being applied to one of Disney California Adventure’s most recognizable dining locations.
Flo’s V8 Cafe and the Role It Plays in Cars Land
At Disney California Adventure, Flo’s V8 Cafe has long been a reliable stop for guests visiting Cars Land. The restaurant draws visual inspiration from Route 66 diners and sits directly along the pathway overlooking Radiator Springs Racers.
Theming has always been the location’s strongest asset. Neon signage, automotive details, and open seating areas reinforce the land’s identity while offering guests a chance to pause between attractions.
Disney describes the cafe on its website as “nostalgic and novel at the same time” with decor that “put[s] you inside the Pixar movies while transporting you to a simpler time, from vintage-style gas pumps to tailpipe light fixtures to 2-toned tuck-and-roll upholstered banquettes!”
Despite its popularity, the menu has remained relatively conservative. Offerings focused on familiar American comfort food, with limited variation over the years.
That is now changing as Disney prepares to roll out a broader update.
Menu Changes Arrive January 20
Now, Disney is revamping the restaurant’s menu, rolling out a slate of new food and drink items beginning January 20. The update affects nearly every section of the menu, including entrées, sides, kids’ meals, and beverages.
According to Disney, the refresh is designed to expand options while maintaining the efficiency required of a high-volume quick-service location. Several existing items will be replaced or reworked.
New food additions include the Big Dipper Cheeseburger with pepperoncini cheese sauce and the Winner’s Circle Chicken and Waffle. Both introduce richer flavors than many of the cafe’s previous staples.
Two versions of Fillmore Groovy Greens are also being added. One is fully plant-based, while the other includes crispy chicken fenders, reflecting Disney’s continued effort to offer flexible options within a single dish.
Additional items include the Ka-Cheeseburger, Tuned-Up Chicken Fenders tossed in sauce, and Fast Track Loaded Fries. The menu also adds a Cup of Chili served with cone-shaped cornbread.
Breakfast-style offerings are expanding with Mini Buckwheat Waffles. Kids’ options now include Mack’s Mac & Cheese and a Micro Burger meal served with fruit and vegetables.
Beverages are also receiving notable attention. New non-alcoholic drinks include Start Your Engine Cold Brew, Stop Sign Cream Soda Pop, and a standard cold brew, alongside Flo’s Classic Shakes.
Alcoholic options are shifting as well. The updated lineup includes Brewery X Fender Bender IPA, Pacifico Cerveza Clara, and a Seaborn Passion Guava Margarita.
These changes replace a narrower existing menu. Current items include a plated meal with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, the Race Day Salad, a Pastrami Sandwich on rye, and the previous Ka-Cheeseburger with 1000 Island dressing.
Alcohol selections currently include Brewery X Fender Bender IPA, Noble Ale Works Pink Lemonade Seltzer, and two Seaborn margaritas — Cranberry-Blood Orange and Pineapple Habanero — served over ice.
One of the more notable additions is the arrival of Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company. Introducing Joffrey’s cold brew to Cars Land aligns with Disney’s broader focus on upgrading beverage offerings at quick-service locations.
The changes mark a clear update for a restaurant that has relied more on atmosphere than menu innovation.
