A trip to Walt Disney World is a magical experience, filled with attractions that cater to guests of all ages. However, for families with young children, the magic can sometimes hit a snag when height restrictions come into play. Knowing these restrictions ahead of time can prevent any disappointment and ensure your vacation goes smoothly.

Here’s everything you need to know about height requirements at Walt Disney World to help you plan a magical visit.

Why Height Requirements Matter

Height requirements are in place to ensure the safety of all guests. Walt Disney World cast members are diligent about checking heights at each attraction, especially for children who may be close to the limit. Keep in mind that guests will be measured every time they approach a ride with restrictions—there are no exceptions or stamps to bypass this.

Planning ahead is key. Before you go, familiarize yourself with which rides your little ones can enjoy and which ones may have to wait until they grow a bit taller. Let’s break down the height requirements by park so you can prepare accordingly.

Once the first adult returns, the waiting adult can ride without having to stand in line again. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Notify the cast member at the ride entrance that you’d like to use Rider Switch.
  2. The cast member will set it up for your group.
  3. The waiting adult can enjoy the ride once the first group finishes, without needing to rejoin the queue.
