The theme park reservation, while not all-too-loved by Guests at Walt Disney World does at least offer a helpful insight into what crowd levels will be like on any given day in a Disney Park.
With Guests required to make reservations for the dates they plan on visiting the theme parks using the Park Pass Reservation system, we can in advance which days have already sold out for both day Guests and Annual Passholders.

Late fall and into the winter months at Walt Disney World come with some of the busiest days of the year with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s (and Veteran’s Day making a long weekend and therefore a desirable time to travel for many Guests).
On top of the standard holidays, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is returning to the Magic Kingdom this year for the first time since 2019. While Guests who are attending the Party are surely thrilled to see this seasonal event back at the Park, it can make securing a reservation for the Magic Kingdom a bit more challenging on days when a Party is scheduled in the evening.

According to the Disney Park Pass availability calendar (as of this writing on October 29, 2022), Thanksgiving week is beginning to sell out. Guests hoping to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios are officially out of luck for most weekdays, and the Magic Kingdom is sold out for the same dates as well as on Thanksgiving.
The same Parks are also already booked up during the week of Veteran’s Day, Monday-Friday, with that availability limited to either the weekends or Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT.

Getting into December, the Magic Kingdom is sold out on Christmas Day, and both Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT are sold out on New Year’s Eve. These are the go-to Parks to celebrate the holidays, especially New Year’s Eve where there will be stages with live music and DJs set up for Guests to ring in the New Year.
If you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays, be sure to check the theme park reservation availability on Disney’s official website prior to purchasing your tickets. And, if your travel dates are flexible or if the Parks you were hoping to visit are already booked, consider looking at January and February, which so far are completely open!
