One of Disney’s Most Festive Holiday Overlays Just Arrived at This Magic Kingdom Attraction

The holiday season has begun at the Walt Disney World Resort! While we are still waiting for some seasonal decor to arrive (namely the sweeping Christmas trees and full-sized gingerbread displays at Disney Resorts), there is already lots of fun to be had around Disney World.

During the holiday season, the Magic Kingdom is the ultimate place to experience the festivities. While some of the Park’s holiday experiences are perks of attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, there is one must-do that is available during regular Park hours, and it’s one of our favorites…

Over in Adventureland, the Jungle Cruise receives an annual makeover for the holiday season as the classic attraction transforms into “The Jingle Cruise,” which opened to Guests today, November 2, 2022. The Jingle Cruise is an incredibly festive and fun overlay that throws some holiday magic into Disney’s “punniest” attraction with new theming seen throughout the ride along with seasonal jokes performed by talented Cast Members.

The Jingle Cruise is especially exciting for Guests at Walt Disney World as the East Coast theme park tends to miss out on some of the exciting holiday updates on favorite attractions (like Haunted Mansion Holiday for instance, which is exclusive to Disneyland Park.)

Especially if you have taken past rides on the Jungle Cruise, and are familiar with the attraction’s story and setting which includes a boat tour spanning rivers in Asia, Africa, and South America, you will want to pay attention to all of the fun details on Jingle Cruise.

Keep an eye out for new names for each boat, and holiday decorations, wrapped gifts and packages, stockings, and more throughout the attraction. And consider riding more than once– You never know what you might notice the second time around!

During the holiday season, the beloved Jungle Cruise experience is transformed into the Jingle Cruise—a festive-yet-familiar adventure from stem to stern!

Join the homesick Jungle Cruise skippers as they set out on a holly, jolly journey packed with silly shenanigans. The boathouse and beyond are decked out with merry décor that’s been mailed to the skippers or that they’ve created themselves. They’re even unwrapping a few holiday jokes to help everyone get in the spirit.

The Jungle Cruise, and especially Jingle Cruise, can often end up with lengthy wait times. As a result, we recommend riding this attraction early in the day or late in the evening to avoid long lines, or opting to use Genie+ for Lightning Lane access.
