Another Disney star has found herself the target of cancel culture after behind-the-scenes video footage surfaced of her glamorizing a habit society has overwhelmingly grown to hate.

Fans have become increasingly critical of Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and the studio’s direction with the multimedia series, and now the company is dealing with one of its stars getting herself into hot water.

The show’s debut week saw a staggering 14 million views, making it the most-watched title on Disney+ during that period. It was a strong showing, though it fell short of Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022), which overwhelmingly disappointed fans upon release.

In the video, Sakhno is seen lighting a cigarette while wearing sunglasses and riding an electric toy landspeeder replica from Star Wars (1977). She then slowly rides off while making a sensual face into the camera.

Critics on social media were quick to dismantle the star. They found the footage unattractive and called for an end to glamorizing smoking.

Fans were not at all enabling Sakhno’s glorification of the harmful behavior. They stressed that cigarettes are not cool.

Defending Ivanna Sokhno

While many were critical of the actress, others tried to defend her. They pointed out that Anakin Skywalker actor Hayden Christensen also engaged in similar behind-the-scenes behavior on the set of Obi-Wan Kenobi without getting attacked for it.
