During these winter months, the weather in Central Florida can be very unpredictable. Some days it could be warm and sunny, and other days it can be cold and rainy. Unfortunately, the weather recently has not been the most comfortable.

Yesterday February 8, it was cold and rainy the whole day. Not ideal weather to go to a water park. That being said, Typhoon Lagoon has now been closed for five days in a row.
If you were planning on going to Typhoon Lagoon on February 9, you would have to change your plans. They will be closed yet again tomorrow.
Although the water is heated, it is still not a comfortable temperature to go swimming. Remember, the lifeguards have to be in the water all day, and getting in and out throughout the day is not the best for their Cast Members.
Although you will not be able to go to the water park today, the weather is much more ideal for a theme park day. We are seeing a high of 66 today, and that is the perfect temperature to go to Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, or EPCOT.

If you think you’ll go to one of the other water parks in the central Florida area, you will soon discover that they are also closed. Universal’s water park Volcano Bay and Sea World’s water park Aquatica are also closed today.
As of right now, Aquatica will be open tomorrow, February 9, but Volcano Bay has currently been closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays anyway.
Even though we have had some colder weather, it is still more comfortable in the Central Florida area than in other parts of the country. Those who live here are grateful that we don’t have to deal with snow and ice, and we put up with the hot, humid summers to have them more comfortable winters.
