Have You Visited These Amazing Bathrooms in Walt Disney World?

Credit: Inside the Magic

“I just can’t wait to visit Walt Disney World’s bathrooms again!”, said nobody, ever.  B

ut, when you gotta go, you gotta go, and WDW is full of fun-tastic bathrooms that reflect the theming surrounding them.

Whether you’re in Disney’s Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom theme parks, Disney Springs, or one of Disney’s Resort Hotels, using the restroom is anything but a chore!

Here are a few of our all-time favorite bathrooms on Walt Disney World property. Have you made a pit stop at any of these pretty potties?

Tangled

We’ll start with the most famous of Walt Disney World washrooms.

The Rapunzel-themed bathroom in Fantasyland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park is by far the prettiest bathroom in any Disney Park, and its remarkable Guest following is completely deserved!

There’s even a PhotoPass photographer stationed by the bathrooms, should you want to commemorate your trip to these terrific toilets.

Vibrant floral murals, hidden Pascals, beautiful lanterns and wanted posters for Flynn Rider draw you in, and the magic only grows inside. The walls and ceiling are absolutely covered in whimsical vines, flowers and stars, and the whole thing is as much a work of art as a bathroom.

T-REX

Dining at T-REX in Disney Springs is a favorite guilty pleasure of ours. Roaring animatronic dinosaurs and other prehistoric friends, regular meteor showers, Jurassic jungle foliage, giant tentacles and pterosaurs flying overhead, and even a color-changing ice cave – what’s not to love?

Even the bathrooms here deserve Guests’ attention. You’ll be greeted by “SHE-REX” and “HE-REX” dino skeleton signs, and inside, the tiled walls are adorned with oversized, often 3D, fossils.

Trilobites, ammonites, extinct fish swimming up the wall – there’s no shortage of amazing fossils to gaze at in this primeval potty!

Refreshers in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

If you find yourself in need of the facilities in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you won’t use a bathroom – you’ll head to a “refresher”, as they’re called on Batuu.

These are perhaps the most utilitarian, rustic (non)bathrooms in Walt Disney World.

Sinks are cement troughs, flanked by a series of metal pipes. The floors are made to look like they’ve worn away over time, and if you listen, you’ll hear fun background music on the radio.

Don’t miss the awesome drinking fountains just outside, with their dianoga alien Easter egg.

Hollywood Brown Derby

The bathrooms in Hollywood Brown Derby at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios are a class act.

Intricate black and white tilework covers the floors and bottom half of the walls, creating a distinctly glamorous 1930s vibe.

But the most unique feature of these refined restrooms is the collection of celebrity caricatures on the walls that echo the starring artwork in the restaurant itself. If you ever visited The Brown Derby in Hollywood, you’ll know it was the model for Hollywood Studios’ version, with its walls plastered in the famed caricatures.

Toy Story Land

In Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park, Guests can find some of the most fun, colorful theming on Disney property.

Gigantic Toy Story characters, photo walls with larger-than-life popsicle sticks and checkerboards, seats made of enormous Babybel cheese – it’s full of whimsy, color, and nostalgia.

So, you should expect the washrooms here to be equally colorful and whimsical – and you won’t be disappointed. The fun begins outside, with giant building blocks, a Cooties game, and a sign spelled out in Scrabble tiles.

Inside, a red and black checkerboard floor leads you towards stalls decked out in vibrant colors, as if the entire washroom is a huge box of crayons!

Space 220

The newest restaurant in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Park is a thematic hit.

You might even say it’s – out of this world (insert groan here). Guests board a space elevator and watch the ground recede as they ascend to a space station, where they naturally have a stunning view of Earth as they dine.

Bathrooms here aren’t the prettiest, but they are perfectly in synch with the theming of the restaurant. The bathroom signs themselves feature astronauts, and inside, further signage instructs Guests as to what to expect “in the unlikely event of an artificial gravity malfunction” (ew).

Everything is streamlined and minimalist, featuring generous doses of chrome – exactly how you’d expect a space outhouse to look.

Pioneer Hall

They might not be the most luxurious loos in Walt Disney World, but the bathrooms at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground next to Pioneer Hall are unforgettable.

Guests are welcomed by restroom signs featuring traditional pioneer garb, and once inside, there’s a striking quilt pattern depicted in the floor tiles beneath your feet.

Instead of typical light fixtures, antique-style lanterns light the sinks here, and mirrors bear frames that look like bark.

The rustic fun continues with artistic wall tile depictions of common scenes from days of yore: a horse-drawn stagecoach, rope borders, and even a group of cowboys hilariously being attacked by fire ants.

Bottom Line

There was a time when an article about the best bathrooms in Walt Disney World would be greeted with many a raised eyebrow. Thankfully, largely due to the popularity of Magic Kingdom’s Tangled (2010) toilets, those days are long gone!

Disney Imagineers are renowned for their attention to detail and penchant for wonderfully immersive theming.

Our favorite restrooms on property are the ones that are so amazingly themed, you forget why you went in! Next time you visit Walt Disney World, seek out a new (to you) toilet or two – you might just find your very own favorite loo.
