Disney Announces Another Guest Favorite to Re-Open Next Week!

We all love to see more and more Disney Park experiences reopen since the epic shutdown of Walt Disney World due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is great for Guests to see the Walt Disney World Resort getting back to normal after this harrowing time in our lives.

We’ve already seen the return of fan-favorite experiences and entertainment like the Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom, Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT, Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage at Disney’s Hollywoof Studios, and The Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme parks.

We welcome this next Disney Park announcement with wide open arms as a Guest-favorite dining location in Walt Disney World is finally scheduled to reopen in the near future.

The Spyglass Grill, a quick service restaurant at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has been officially announced to be opening its doors on April 14, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

This convenient walk-up counter is located in the Trinidad pool area with a patio that overlooks Barefoot Bay. As of this writing, the Spyglass Grill has not announced any changes to their menus, so we thought it would be a good opportunity to remind all of us on just what is offered at the pirate-themed eatery.

According to the Walt Disney World website, Spyglass Grill is a quick-service restaurant that has a “menu featuring American fare with a Caribbean twist for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”

The breakfast menu is loaded with options that are priced very reasonably, where most are under $10. You can find common breakfast items such as:

• Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on Brioche
• Breakfast Cuban: Egg, slow-roasted Pork, Ham and Swiss
• Seasonal Fruit Plate: Fresh fruits served with Guava Yogurt

The Spyglass also offers fresh baked items like the Cinnamon Roll, Apple Danish, assorted muffins, and more. Additionally, they also offer a few plant-based options for Guests to enjoy:

• Trinidad Sunrise Crispy Yuca Bowl: Plant-based eggs served over crispy Yuca with Black Beans and topped with Pico de Gallo
• Breakfast Wrap: Plant-based eggs, Plant-based Chorizo, and Spinach wrapped in a flour tortilla
• Steel-Cut Oatmeal: served with Dried Fruits and Nuts

The Spyglass has plenty of lunch and dinner options that will satisfy all of ye’ pirates and privateers. Most of their lunch and dinner items will cost Guests under $15 in silver… Ok, you don’t need silver, but check out these options:

• Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger: Grilled Signature-blend Burger topped with Bacon, Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, and Pickle on a Brioche bun with choice of side
• Cuban Sandwich: Slow-roasted Pork, Ham, Pickle, and Mustard served with choice of side
• Smoked Turkey Breast Sandwich:  Smoked Turkey Breast, Swiss, Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato, and Dijon Mayonnaise on Multigrain Bread with choice of side
• Mojo Pork Tacos: Three Tacos topped with Pickled Vegetables Slaw, Cilantro-lime Crema, Cotija Cheese, and Pico de Gallo served with choice of side
• Chicken Strips – Served with choice of side

If you are looking for lighter meal options for lunch and/or dinner, then the Spyglass Grill has you covered. They have salad choices such as:

• Shrimp Salad: Mixed greens, Avocado, Black beans, Pickled Onion, and Tomato served with a side of Key Lime Vinaigrette
• Chopped Jerk Chicken Salad: Romaine, Kale, Red Bell Peppers, and Mango served with a side of Key Lime Vinaigrette

They also offer these special Plant-Based entrees, including:

• Impossible Burger: Impossible patty topped with Carolina-style Barbecued Jackfruit, Pickled Slaw, and Plant-based Cheddar served with choice of side
• Black Bean Tacos: Three Tacos topped with Pickled Vegetable Slaw, Plant-based Cheese, Cilantro-Lime Tofu Crema, and Pico de Gallo on Flour Tortillas served with choice of side.
• Trinidad Crispy Yuca Bowl: Plant-based Chorizo served over Black Beans with Pico de Gallo and Cilantro-Lime Tofu Crema

The Spyglass Grill even has options for Guests that have allergy concerns, so don’t hesitate to ask any questions because these pirates are friendly!

It’s great to know that the Spyglass Grill at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has something for everybody, no matter your tastes or diet restrictions.

Captain Jack Sparrow once said, “Not all treasure is gold and silver mate.” He’s right because all these tasty food options are a treasure to try!
