D23 Expo 2022 has officially begun, and we just got news of an extremely exciting project coming to Disney Parks. Avengers Campus is only a little over a year old, and Disney is already planning on adding to the themed land!

The popular area replaced A Bug’s Land, setting Marvel Cinematic Universe fans up for the surprise of a lifetime. Currently, the location only has two attractions, WEB-SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT!, which was already part of Disney California Adventure.

Although the Avengers Campus is relatively small, the MCU has been a massive success for Disney. Since its opening, fans have been flocking to Disneyland Resort for an up-close look at some of their favorite movie heroes.

Some of the most popular sightings include Captain America, Spiderman, and Loki. Social media has been abuzz this year with heartwarming and hilarious interactions between the beloved characters and Guests.

News just broke that Avengers Campus will be expanding! As if that wasn’t enough to be thrilled about, the superhero-themed land will also get a brand new attraction!

Disney journalist Ashley Carter posted that Disney CEO Bob Chapek made the thrilling announcement at D23. Fans will get more details about Disney’s plans on Sunday, but we have one more exciting piece of information to share.

The attraction will feature the Multiverse, and allow Guests to fight villains from anywhere. Since its opening, some have found Avengers Campus to be lacking when it comes to the rides department.

A new attraction is just what the area needs to become even more of a success with loyal fans! That’s all we know for now, but we’ll keep you posted as new details emerge. Stay tuned as we share loads of new information from D23 this weekend here on Disney Tips!
