Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be arriving at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort in 2024. Splash Mountain has suffered through many years of controversy, due to the movie the ride is based on, Song of the South (1946). The upcoming changes have been highly anticipated by Disney fans.
Scott Gustin reports that the new version of the ride will include a Tiana animatronic along with 16 new characters! Disney Parks Blog has given us some details about the look and feel of the new ride, along with its premise.
Continuing where the film left off, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure flaunts many new and compelling elements, including a soundtrack inspired by the beloved movie. When it comes to rides at Disney Parks, music plays a massive role in the overall feel of an attraction, so we can’t wait to see what Disney has in store.
Disneyland’s New Orleans square already has a restaurant with a cajun-creole menu located near Pirates of the Caribbean, called Cafe Orleans. There is also the French Market Restaurant which is located closer to Splash Mountain by The Haunted Mansion.
The new dining location will be called Tiana’s Palace! It will be interesting to see where the eatery will be located within New Orleans Square. The area is rather small and congested. Will it replace another restaurant or will a new location be added to the area? What do you think?
