New Coffee Shop Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

It goes without saying that coffee, or an alternative hot drink, is a staple part of the day. This is especially true when you’re taking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Those early mornings allow you to fill your day with Disney magic, but they get a little tricky as you are nearing the end of your vacation. Coffee in the morning is a perfect way to start your Disney day and help you wake up before heading to the Disney Parks. Early starts can cause you to feel a little sluggish in the afternoon, but a Starbucks while you secure your parade spot on Main Street, U.S.A., is the ideal energy hit you need to make it to bedtime. The evenings offer the perfect time to find a relaxing spot and enjoy a hot drink before bed or wind down while the rest of the family dips in the pool.

There are plenty of spots to enjoy coffee in Walt Disney World, including the Starbucks and Joffrey’s locations in the Disney Parks, Disney Springs, and Disney Resorts. But if you thought there could be more, then you’re in luck. The opening of a new coffee shop is on the horizon, and we have all the details to share!

Disney’s BoardWalk

This popular destination in the Walt Disney World Resort lines the shore of Crescent Lake and is just a short walk from EPCOT International Gateway. Known for its dining locations, including the BoardWalk Deli and Trattoria al Forno, and its entertainment, including Jellyrolls and street performers every evening, Disney’s BoardWalk is also home to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort.

Disney’s BoardWalk is currently in the process of receiving some exciting updates. The BoardWalk Deli opened in August this year and was the first update to the Disney Resort hotel. In October, the Belle Vue Lounge reopened to Guests, after undergoing renovation. New beverages were added to its menu, in addition to the beautiful and fresh new decor.

The Cake Bake Shop, owned by Gwendolyn Rogers, is also set to open next year in the building that the EPSN Club previously occupied. This is set to be the spot where Guests can enjoy sweet and savory items that can be enjoyed for brunch, lunch, or dinner. The Cake Bake Shop will also serve up afternoon tea, an experience that is currently missing from the Walt Disney World Resort. The Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa used to be the place to enjoy elegant afternoon tea before March 2020.

We now have news of another new addition to Disney’s BoardWalk, Carousel Coffee.

Carousel Coffee

Since the transformation of the BoardWalk Bakery into the BoardWalk Deli, Disney’s BoardWalk has been missing a place to enjoy coffee and sweet treats. There isn’t too long to wait until a new coffee shop opens at the favorite Walt Disney World hot spot. Carousel Coffee is set to be a new location that will serve up coffee, tea, and other hot and cold beverages, as well as indulgent pastries and cakes. The coffee shop will also serve up Artisan Roasted Joffrey’s Coffee.

The full menu that will be served at Carousel Coffee is set to be revealed in the next few weeks, however, Disney Parks Blog has confirmed several items that Guests will be able to enjoy when the new location opens. These include:

  • Dark Cherry Mocha Frozen Blended Coffee – inspired by seaside getaways, this cherry-flavored beverage will be served with whipped cream and finished with chocolate chips and a cherry on top.

  • Cinnamon Bun Frozen Blended Coffee – this will be one flavor that will be part of a seasonal rotation of coffees and will be topped with whipped cream and cinnamon sugar.
  • Nitro Cold Brew Coffee – soon enough, Gideon’s Bakehouse won’t be the only location to pick up a serving of Nitro Cold Brew. The coffee beverage is a freshly made, extra smooth, dark-roasted cold brew that is infused with nitro.
  • Pomegranate Green Tea Lemonade – perfect for tea lovers, this beverage is made from freshly squeezed lemon juice and blended with pomegranate green tea and a touch of agave. It’s served over ice, creating a cool and refreshing beverage to sip on.

  • Crunchy Raspberry Danish – crispy sugar dough layers are topped with hibiscus fondant and raspberry pieces. It’s the perfect combination of croissant and muffin.
  • Vintage Mickey & Minnie Sugar Cookie – perfect for Guests of all ages, these Mickey head cookies will be finished with a fondant layer that will feature Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their vintage outfits.

Other food items that are set to be available at Carousel Coffee include banana bread, croissants, muffins, NJ Crumb Cake, bagels, Mickey brownies, and more.

We’re excited to find out the exact location of the new coffee shop that will open at Disney’s BoardWalk. It’s great to see an increased number of quick-service dining options opening at the Deluxe Disney Resort. Disney’s BoardWalk provides the perfect surroundings to enjoy quick-service food and beverages. Carousel Coffee will also be a great place to visit for Guests who are staying across the water at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. It’ll also be just a Disney Skyliner ride away from Disney’s Riviera Resort and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resorts.
