Rare Disney Characters Spotted at This Cast Member-Exclusive Event

The Walt Disney World Resort recently hosted a Cast Member Service Celebration at the Magic Kingdom, and Guests in attendance were treated to exclusive entertainment and character meet and greets.

The event is hosted in honor of the people who create magic for Guests every day at Walt Disney World, with Cast Members celebrating milestones for their years of employment with Disney in attendance. The service celebration last night, January 31, 2023, brought out plenty of characters we do not usually see for these most special Guests.

As Cast Members made their way into the Magic Kingdom via a red carpet down Main Street, U.S.A., they were greeted with memorable soundtracks (including tunes from days of Disney past like “Wishes). Throughout the Park, Cast could then set off to experience favorite attractions and character meet and greets.

Outside of the Haunted Mansion, @nikai_barnor captured video of the ballroom dancer ghosts entertaining the crowd. With the exception of special events like this one, the ballroom dancers are typically only ever seen during Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and occasionally during fall runDisney races.

In Tomorrowland, Guests spotted WALL-E, a very seldom-seen character who has never enjoyed regular character meet and greets in the Disney Park.

Along with WALL-E, @notwedge shared photos to Twitter of his family’s experience meeting Raya. The title character from Raya and the Last Dragon (2021) has been a part of meet and greets at the Disneyland Resort, but she is rarely seen at Walt Disney World so this must have been quite the memorable experience for Cast Members in attendance.

Cast Members at the event also noted that the temporary stage set up inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe was used to host a DJ for the event. (So if you have also been concerned about the disappearance of a certain alien, Sonny Eclipse, we are hopeful that we will see him back at this Disney Park soon.)

It looks like magic was created for the people who deserve it most last night in the Magic Kingdom, and we at Disney Tips share our congratulations with the Cast Members who were honored at this year’s event.
