Chris Evans Shares a Hilarious Response to Claims That He Was Photoshopped

Lightyear (2022) opens this week in theaters, and the Disneyland Resort just celebrated the new film by hosting a visit with Chris Evans, who voices the titular character.

The latest Disney and Pixar animated film shares the backstory behind Buzz Lightyear, the iconic space ranger from the Toy Story franchise, so it only made sense that Evans would spend some time with the toys and other favorite Pixar characters along with Mickey and Minnie while visiting Disneyland.

When Disneyland shared a photo of the actor with the Toy Story gang at Disney California Adventure, fans were quick to take to social media questioning whether the resort had actually photoshopped Evans in just to promote the film.

The image was actually not photoshopped, and Chris Evans had a hilarious response to fans who thought it appeared that way:

Even in the replies to Evans’ tweet, fans continued to joke about the actor’s pose, remarking on how identical he was standing in the two photos with some fans adding their own photoshopped artwork to the images, (he does sort of look like a Sim, right?!)

Chris Evans’ stoic pose also comes in hilarious contrast to the characters who know exactly how to pose and look excited to be at the park with the voice of Buzz Lightyear, himself.

Lightyear opens in theaters everywhere this Thursday, June 17, 2022, and for Guests visiting Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure, you can expect to find lots of nods to Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, along with other favorite Pixar animated characters.

Disney describes the all-new film as:

‘Lightyear’ follows the legendary space ranger on an intergalactic adventure alongside ambitious recruits, Izzy, Mo and Darby, and his robot companion Sox. As this motley crew embark on their toughest mission yet, they must learn to work as a team to escape the evil Zurg and his dutiful robot army who are never far behind.

Be sure to order your tickets now to see Lightyear in theaters, and perhaps brush up on your posing before your next trip to Pixar Pier!
