
During crowded days at the Disneyland Resort, which is honestly most of the time nowadays, there are few places a weary traveler can go to escape the pandemonium. In preparation for a trip to the Parks, it’s good to be aware of locations that promote some sense of calm, especially during the summer months.
Disneyland is a small Park with limited space and tight quarters. There is a lot of hustle and bustle as you walk through the gates, but if you know where to look, you can find some quiet and relaxing hidden gems.
Magic Key Holders and former Annual Pass holders, who frequent Disney Parks, quickly learn where the best places are to catch your breath amid the heat and crowds. Here are a few of our favorite places to cool off at Disneyland Resort.
The first spot is located right before Main Street, U.S.A. The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is a great place to meander if you’re looking for room to stretch out your legs and enjoy some air conditioning.
You can extend your time in this area by taking in the show, which is about fifteen minutes long, and usually has no wait. Disney history buffs, be sure to check out the fantastic Disneyland memorabilia in this room; if you have the energy to walk around, that is!
Another lovely resting spot lies inside the classic attraction, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. Though the queue is outdoors and a bit of a tight squeeze, Guests can access the DOLE whip stand here, enjoying a refreshing treat before heading into the show, where it’s nice and cool.
When it comes to rides, water is the name of the game, with Pirates of the Caribbean and it’s a small world providing the best relaxation due to their indoor locations and cooler atmosphere. In fact, it’s a small world has the coldest air conditioning in the whole Park, if you ask me!
