Massive Disney news: the storyline for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has finally been revealed. The ride, which will be a retheme of the recently retired Splash Mountain, is set to open in Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort in 2024.
Now that we know the plot of the ride, fans will have more to look forward to. This retheme has been shrouded in lots of controversies, so this announcement comes at a prime time. Princess and The Frog fans will be thrilled to see what the Walt Disney Imagineers have in store.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Storyline
We know from the movie that Tiana has a passion for cooking and dreams of owning her own restaurant, “Tiana’s Palace.” At the end of the Princess and The Frog (2009), we see Princess Tiana’s dreams come true when she opens up her dream New Orleans restaurant to colossal success.
On Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, we will pick up where Tiana’s story has left off and get to see her life after making it big in the restaurant world. In the attraction queue, Guests will learn more about her restaurant and how she continues to give back to her community. Guests will learn how she turned an abandoned salt mine and created her new business, Tiana’s Foods.

Tiana has turned the salt mine into a thriving farmland where she grows vegetables, herbs, and spices. Tiana’s Foods has farmland, a kitchen, and a whole new line of products, including her line of original hot sauces. Her business is employee-owned and community-based.
The ride begins when Princess Tiana and her community of employees begin to prepare for their journey into the New Orleans bayou. Along the way, we can expect to see some new and familiar faces along the way.
Tiana’s Newest Venture: Tiana’s Foods
We are thrilled to learn more about the storyline behind this highly-anticipated new ride. This ride has dealt with a lot of controversies after it replaced Splash Mountain, a favorite ride of many Disney fans. Splash Mountain was closed due to the insensitive racial material in the movie Song of the South, which inspired the ride.
Walt Disney Imagineering decided that a new Princess and the Frog ride would be a great retheme, and since then, fans have been excited to learn more. This new storyline information will make fans more excited than ever to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort come 2024.
