A Disneyland Resort guest recently found herself stopped just minutes after entering the park due to her outfit, which security cast members deemed potentially dangerous. The incident, shared by the Disney Park guest on TikTok, has sparked a renewed conversation about the vacation destination’s dress code policies.

The Disney dress code rules have been a hot topic in recent years, especially after a viral TikTok trend in 2022. This trend encouraged park visitors to intentionally break Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort’s dress code policies to receive free clothing. Prior to this trend, Disney cast members often gave guests complimentary T-shirts so they didn’t have to leave the park or purchase new clothes.

However, following the viral movement, both Disneyland and Walt Disney World cracked down on this practice. Now, guests stopped at the gate for attire violations must either purchase new clothing at the park or return to their hotels.

Milana Sofia’s video captured the attention of many, with users expressing disbelief over her outfit being stopped. Commenters like @alex_mendonsa wrote, “There’s actually no way,” while @bluemoon2484 asked, “How and why did u get dressed coded at Disneyland?!”

Disneyland Resort’s dress code prohibits clothing deemed inappropriate for a family-friendly environment. The rules specifically forbid costumes and non-medical masks for guests 14 and older, clothing with offensive language or graphics, excessively torn or loose-fitting clothing that could create a tripping hazard, and attire that exposes too much skin. Additionally, shoes and appropriate coverage are required, and visible tattoos with objectionable content are not allowed.

While Milana Sofia’s outfit doesn’t seem to violate any of these restrictions directly, the dress code also notes that the list is not exhaustive. This means that guests may still be stopped for wearing something that doesn’t appear on the official list but is still deemed unsuitable by security.

The Disney Park guest was likely stopped due to the potential safety risk her outfit posed on certain rides. Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort security cast members have a history of turning away guests wearing tube tops or clothing that could easily come undone during thrill rides. Guests are encouraged to wear shirts with fully attached straps to avoid issues during intense rides or delays at security.
