Visiting Walt Disney World Resort in the near future? As you make plans for your magical day at Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll want to take note that Disney Enchantment’s showtime is scheduled to change.
It wasn’t too long ago we said goodbye to Magic Kingdom’s popular nighttime spectacular, Happily Ever After. As Walt Disney World rolled out its 50th Anniversary celebration beginning October 1, 2021, Magic Kingdom’s fireworks show was transformed to welcome its current show, Disney Enchantment.
Not only did Magic Kingdom receive a new 50th Anniversary fireworks show, but EPCOT welcomed a new show as well called Harmonious. While both shows have mixed reviews, we’re still thrilled to welcome back fireworks that have yet to make a return at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
As we cruise through Spring and inch closer to May, Disney Park planners will want to take note that Magic Kingdom’s Disney Enchantment will be switching up its nightly performance time.
Starting May 16, 2022, Disney Enchantment will be performed at 9:20 pm instead of the usual 9:00 pm time slot. Magic Kingdom recently extended its closing hours from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm which is likely the reasoning behind the time change. It is odd however that Disney didn’t change the fireworks to 10:00 pm as they are normally performed during the Park closing hour.
Currently, the Disney Enchantment calendar goes through May 20, 2022, with 9:20 pm still listed for showtime. Keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app as you just never know if/when Disney will make adjustments to its entertainment schedule and/or Park hours.
Of course, as you make dining reservations and Disney Genie/Lightning Lane plans, this new 9:20 pm showtime is one to take note of.
