Disney Parks wouldn’t be what they are without Cast Members. Cast Members are Disney employees but are much more than just hard workers. They are behind the scenes and in front of the Guests, making every trip to the Parks unforgettable.

As Cast Members try their hardest to make every Guest have a magical experience, Disney has found a way to give back to some of those Cast Members. With the anticipation of ‘Haunted Mansion’ (2023) being released on July 28, 2023, Disney is offering a special showing before the premiere. The film, inspired by the classic attraction, has touched many people, making the remake much more exciting.

Haunted Mansion Advance Screening

While fans patiently wait for the opening, some lucky people will get to experience the film first. “In honor of its Disney Parks lineage, a #DisneyCastLife group of Cast Member maids and butlers from each Haunted Mansion attraction around the world has been invited to walk the red carpet and see the advance screening,” Disney Parks Blog pens. This group of 10 doesn’t only come from Disneyland but Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disney Resort which all have the Haunted Mansion attraction. Furthermore, to make up the rest of the gang, Cast Members from Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris and Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disneyland are invited as the iconic ride inspires their rides.

Cast Member Reactions

Disney took to Instagram to show the shocking reactions as they told these 10 Cast Members the news.

“This is where I’ve wanted to be since I was seven years old,” said Shannon Miller, who will represent the Magic Kingdom Park attraction with Matthew Desilets. “When I rode it for the first time, I just fell in love with it… my mom tells the story all the time of when I said I was going to work at the Haunted Mansion!”

Maddie Liu and Alex Salinas were overly excited with the news as they got to represent Disneyland, where the ride originated. Some Cast Members, like the two selected for Disneyland Paris, showed such excitement, further proving how much they deserve this experience. Yoann Langlois and Amélie Fuentes were chosen to attend the premiere. Amélie said, “This will be my first time in California. I cried when I found out… it took me 3 or 4 days to process. I have to get ready!”

Moving over to Tokyo Disneyland, the shock continued. Noriko Kubota from Tokyo Disneyland “couldn’t tell if this was real or not,” while fellow Cast Member Yuya Sato has been working for Tokyo Disneyland for nearly two decades and is most excited “to go to the original Park Walt Disney created something I’m quite honored by.”

Many of the Cast Members expressed how this was their first opportunity to visit California making the trip alone thrilling. Furthermore, they get to experience the red carpet and advanced showing, along with exploring Disneyland Park.
