One of Walt Disney Studios’ next releases is the Haunted Mansion (2023), set to hit theaters later this month. The Walt Disney Company hopes this film will end a long string of box office flops starting with Lightyear (2022) and continuing to Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023).

And now, Disney fans may be able to enjoy the film’s premier on July 15.
The Blood Red Carpet Premiere
Disney has announced plans to schedule the official red carpet premiere at the Hyperion Theater at the Disney California Adventure Park. The movie stars A-list actors, including LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Owen Wilson, and Jamie Lee Curtis, among other top industry talent.

However, talks of a looming actors guild strike has caused some to wonder how Disney will handle the premier. If there is a strike, as members of the actors guild, the film’s movie stars would not be able to attend the premier or take place in the festivities associated with it.
The Disneyland Resort is expecting to host in the neighborhood of 2,000 Guests for the Haunted Mansion (2023) premier. And if the strike prohibits the stars from attending, a source told Variety that it would become a “private fan event” since Disney has no plans to cancel it.

A Movie to Die For
Similar to the 2003 film of the same name that starred Eddie Murphy, the movie is based on the classic Disneyland Park and Walt Disney World attraction. It’s another attempt by Walt Disney Studios to take another “stab” at revisiting the Haunted Mansion ride as a possible film franchise. Although it will maintain a comedic tone throughout, it is also expected to have a few good scares.
The director has previously stated that his goal was to incorporate easter eggs from the classic ride and combine light-hearted fun with terror and mystery.
The film is set to hit theaters on July 28. But if the actors strike, perhaps it may open up a few more seats for Disney fans.
