Ok, Disney foodies! This is not a drill. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will soon be welcoming back its most prestigious restaurant… that’s right, Victoria & Alberts!

Disney’s Grand Floridan Resort has been going through several changes in recent years. The Deluxe Resort Hotel beautifully nestled on the Seven Seas Lagoon reimagined the former Mizner’s Lounge to the stunning Enchanted Rose Lounge featuring touches of Beauty and the Beast (1991).

We’ve also seen changes made in ways such as the removal of the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra, the reimagined Grand Floridian Spa, and the Resort room reimagining for the incoming Disney Vacation Club Villas that will offer a brief Monorail ride to Magic Kingdom Park for DVC Members.

With Enchanted Rose Lounge featuring a Disney film theme, Cítricos has reopened with a Mary Poppins (1964) theme. Along with Citricos, Narcoossee’s, Grand Floridian Cafe, Gasparilla Island Grill, Beaches Pool Bar & Grill, and Courtyard Pool Bar have all reopened post-COVID closures. Now, Victoria & Albert’s is joining the reopening list!

Disney has announced the news with, “You’ve likely been wondering when Victoria & Albert’s would be opening its doors once again at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and I am very pleased to share that this beloved favorite will be coming back later this year. While we don’t have specifics right now, stay tuned for updates to come!”

Victoria & Albert’s takes signature dining to an unmatched level at Walt Disney World Resort. The Victorian elegance mixed with the top-notch American cuisine has allowed this Disney restaurant to be a AAA Five Diamond Award recipient since 2000. Of course, the closure of the restaurant hit in March 2020 due to COVID, but we have no doubt Victoria & Albert’s can get back to that Diamond Award status in no time.

Currently, Chef Scott Hunnel is still listed on Disney’s website as the culinary expertise which you can meet personally with the Chef’s Table experience. The restaurant has two other areas of dining including the Dining Room and the more private Queen Victoria Room. All three options include exceptional seating, dining, and service.

We are still waiting to hear word on if/when Grand Floridian’s Garden View Tea Room or 1900 Park Fare will reopen. Grand Floridian’s neighboring Disney Resort, Polynesian Village Resort, has announced Spirit of Aloha is NOT returning. We hope the fate isn’t the same for Garden View Tea Room or 1900 Park Fare.

While we wait for an official opening date and dining reservation openings for Victoria & Albert’s, you can still check out the delicious menu online. Disney notes the restaurant offers “truffles from Italy, Russian Osetra caviar, beef from Japan, poulet rouge from North Carolina and local Florida shrimp” and much more.

Enjoy making your Disney fine-dining dream a reality, Disney fans!
