A popular attraction located in Critter Country at the Disneyland Resort recently experienced a frightening malfunction, according to a video shared on TikTok by @brifimusic. The incident occurred at night, as Guests passing by Splash Mountain noticed a log vehicle peeking out over the edge, where the steep, decline portion of the ride resides.

The attraction, which is located near New Orleans Square, is quite dark inside during its ascent to the top, with frightening animatronics above and alongside the ride vehicle. Ominous music plays, preparing visitors for the epic fall near the conclusion of the experience.

This is definitely a spot you don’t want to be stuck in for fear that the ride vehicle may start falling backward, sending your log into the Guests behind you! Malfunctions and ride breakdowns do occur from time to time at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.

Despite Disney’s thoughtful attention to detail, which involves thorough examinations of each ride during the course of the night, there is bound to be an error now and then. Recently, a Guest shared a video on TikTok explaining their recent experience with a ride breakdown at Disneyland Park.

This time the attraction was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The roller coaster broke down during the middle of the experience, with Guests waiting about five minutes to find out what was going on.

Shortly after, a Disney Cast Member appeared to escort Park goers off the ride. They were taken through portions of the attraction they’d already ridden on, describing their walk through the tunnels as creepy.

Although there have been some more serious incidents in the past, minor ride breakdowns, in which a Disney ride simply stops, can actually provide Guests with a unique experience. Many times, after a malfunction, the attraction’s lights will turn on, giving visitors a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the ride.

We don’t know what happened after the log stalled, but we hope everyone involved is ok after their Disney Park experience!
