Disney ticket prices seem to always be on the rise, and adding sold-out events and pre-set capacities to the mix does not help those hoping to plan a last-minute trip to the theme parks.
Since theme park tickets can be the most expensive part of planning a Disney vacation, Guests are always looking for ways to save. While it might be tempting to purchase tickets from the resale market, we often caution against this as tickets may be tied to the individual Guest who purchased them, so scanning someone else’s tickets at the gate might not work.

Theme parks, and their seasonal events, are more popular than ever right now due to pent-up demand. At Disney California Adventure, Oogie Boogie Bash sold out shortly after tickets went on sale, and at the Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party sold out all days in advance for the first time ever.
Unfortunately, with nearly any kind of sold-out Disney product comes the resellers. And this time, they have taken to eBay with resale tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash priced at about $800-1,000 per ticket for the sold-out event.

When tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash originally went on sale they were priced at $129-179 per person, making the markup seen on the resale market especially frustrating for those Guests who were unable to purchase tickets earlier due to the event selling out in the first place.
The Oogie Boogie Bash tickets on the resale market cover various nights of the event, not just Halloween, which is often the first to sell out. For East Coast Guests, there are limited tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party also listed on eBay for select nights with similar pricing.

Given the success of Oogie Boogie Bash over the past couple of years, we expect the event to return next year. If you plan to attend any of Disney’s seasonal events during fall 2023, we recommend purchasing your tickets as soon as you are able to so that you can avoid falling into expensive and potentially dishonest resales to get into these events.

Don your favorite costume for a frightfully fun night of Characters, tricks and treats for Guests of all ages.
The spell’s been cast! On select nights this September and October, Disney California Adventure Park will host a separately ticketed Halloween party with Oogie Boogie. This family-friendly event includes after-hours park access to treat trails, photo opportunities, entertainment, attractions, spooky fun decor and more.
Your ticket also lets you enjoy Disney California Adventure Park for up to 3 hours before Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party begins. Once the party starts at 6:00 PM, you’ll be treated to 5 hours of shindig shenanigans—including special Halloween-themed entertainment, attractions, Character sightings and more.
