On Tuesday morning, Mobile Ordering was available at Quick Service food locations across the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs. The outage was reportedly related to a widespread malfunction of Cloudflare, which provides internet infrastructure for sites like X (formerly known as Twitter), Spotify, and ChatGPT.

Mobile Ordering is one of the easiest and quickest ways to enjoy a Quick Service meal at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney Springs, and the Disney Resort hotels. The service, available on the official My Disney Experience app, allows Walt Disney World Resort guests to order and pay for meals, select an arrival window, and tap “I’m Here” when they’re ready for their food.

Over the last few years, Mobile Ordering has become the go-to method of operation at most Quick Service dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort. Most cash registers have been closed and converted into pickup stations, while guests who want to order in person often face long lines at one of the few available cashiers. This made Tuesday’s outage all the more devastating, as Walt Disney World Resort cast members rushed to reopen closed registers and serve lines of guests who had pre-ordered their food.

Guests who clicked “Mobile Order” on the My Disney Experience app were greeted with a pop-up reading:

“Mobile Ordering is Temporarily Unavailable

Mobile ordering is unavailable at this time. Please check back later. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Theme park journalist Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin on X, formerly known as Twitter) confirmed that the outage was “likely related” to the Cloudflare outage, which shut down countless sites early Tuesday morning:

Mobile ordering is temporarily unavailable at Walt Disney World. The outage is likely related to the Cloudflare issues from earlier today.

Within the last hour, Mobile Ordering returned to the My Disney Experience app. Inside the Magic captured the screenshot below of availability at Magic Kingdom Park at around 1:00 p.m. EST. However, the food-ordering service is now available at all four theme parks, Disney Springs, and the Disney Resort hotels.

At the time of this article’s publication, Cloudflare has confirmed that its services are currently operating normally: “We are no longer observing elevated errors or latency across the network.”
