Multiple Disneyland Resort guests recently shared videos of sparse crowds at the Southern California theme parks. This latest report comes amid weeks of allegations that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are empty, exacerbated after social media posts falsely claimed that United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were spotted on the property.

Weeks ago, amid heated ICE protests in Los Angeles, viral videos claimed that the agency had extended its activities to Anaheim. Posts alleged that ICE agents were spotted in the Disneyland Resort parking garages or near Disney cast member entrances, hoping to catch undocumented Disney Park guests or employees. The rumors gained so much traction that within hours, Disneyland Resort officially confirmed that ICE was not present on its property, and theme park operations continued normally.

Nevertheless, some Southern California Disney Park guests say that the typical summer crowds still haven’t returned. On June 18, two TikTokers shared videos of an “empty” Disneyland Park.

“Disney is literally EMPTY,” said @guerasunshine. “Walk on lines and super short wait times and space to actually walk! …A blessing?”

The TikToker shared clips of Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Main Street, U.S.A., and other parts of Disneyland Park, all missing the typical summer crowds.

The same day, @queen.alejandra shared a similar video of sparsely-crowded areas near the Matterhorn Bobsleds and Sleeping Beauty Castle. “Seems like a slow day,” the Disney Park guest wrote.

On both videos, many commenters said that Disneyland Resort was noticeably less crowded earlier this month.

“Got 11 rides with snack breaks done in 8 hours, [it] was the best day to go,” said @whaileelady.

“I’m honestly shocked but it’s so nice,” @rachelliam commented. “It’s less crowded.”

“Went over the weekend. Fully prepared for horrendous crowds,” @_j0weezy wrote. “We waited max 30 min for rides. I have littles so we didn’t do the big big rides but it was PERFECT!”

Still, others said the calm didn’t last.

“Hahaha I was there Tuesday and it was horrid,” @jess_nicoleoros recalled. “Wall to wall people.”

“NOT TODAY THE 19TH!” @ccrissyo echoed. “Super packed.”
