Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are preparing for the most wonderful time of the year! Even though we may be kicking off fall, Disney’s plans for the winter season are already in full force. But, news has dropped, announcing Disneyland Resort has decided to cancel a popular holiday offering.

When the big news of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party returning to Magic Kingdom Park dropped, fans were thrilled. Tickets have been going fast for the special-ticketed holiday event at Walt Disney World.

But, if visiting Disneyland Resort this holiday season, Guests will want to know that Disneyland’s special-ticketed holiday event called “Disney Merriest Nites” will not be making a return for the 2022 holiday season.

@ScottGustin took to social media to share, “NEW: Disney Merriest Nites will not return to Disneyland Resort this year. Last year, the after-hours party was held at Disneyland on 5 select nights in Nov. and Dec.”

Furthermore, @ScottGustin reports, “A Disneyland official confirmed the event will not return in 2022 and said they are always looking at new ways to entertain guests.”

Thankfully, this doesn’t mean there won’t be any holiday offers available to Disney Park Guests. Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will offer “Holidays at the Disneyland Resort” from November 11, 2022, to January 8, 2023.

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort” offers are included in the theme park ticket with special experiences such as “A Christmas Fantasy Parade,” “it’s a small world” Holiday, “¡Viva Navidad!,” “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks, and much more. PLUS – Disneyland is known to offer incredible holiday food and beverages throughout its Parks and Resorts.

With the holidays quickly approaching and this cancellation announcement, we don’t believe Disneyland Resort will be offering a different special-ticketed holiday event. We will, however, be sure to keep Disney Tips readers updated as we say goodbye to the “merriest nite” and look to what’s to come in the future.
