Disneyland has a special surprise planned! Tomorrow, July 17, 2023, Disneyland is celebrating its 68th anniversary. The Park opened on July 17, 1955, under the supervision of the man who created our beloved Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney. Since the opening day of Disneyland, the Park has only grown in more magical ways.
Walt Disney had a vision that came to life. Disneyland was just the beginning of what The Walt Disney Company would do in years to come. Disney has now celebrated 40 years of the Disney Channel, has Parks all over the world, from Orlando, Florida, to Hong Kong, and is known for some of the most iconic films in animation.
Today, some attractions are original to the Park, like “it’s a small world”, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion. To commemorate the day, Guests can still enjoy these attractions just like in 1955. But Disneyland has a special surprise for any Guests visiting tomorrow to join in on.
Disneyland is hosting a celebratory cavalcade at Disneyland Park for Guests to enjoy. A theme Park ticket for admission is required to enjoy the celebration and is open to anyone who visits.

As Walt Disney famously said, “I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing—that it was all started by a mouse.” Through the 68 years of Disneyland, Imagineers, Cast Members, and Guests have never lost sight of the origin and history of the most magical place on earth.
