During her opening remarks at Disney’s Veterans Institute Summit, Dr. Biden is expected to discuss Joining Forces, the organization created by herself and First Lady Michelle Obama to help military families with spouse employment, military child education, and wellbeing in terms of both physical and mental health.

Alongside other speakers in attendance at the summit, Dr. Biden’s remarks will work to promote the value of hiring veterans and military spouses as they bring a unique set of skills to the workplace while making up one of the most important communities that Americans across the country are appreciative for.

In the initial announcement for Disney’s Veterans Institute Summit, the company shared:

“We’re thrilled to host the Veterans Institute Summit August 19-20 at Walt Disney World Resort. This two-day event is designed to empower companies to build effective veteran hiring, training, and support programs of their own to provide opportunities for servicemen and women returning home and transitioning to civilian life. As a veteran myself who joined Disney ten years ago following a military career, I appreciate the commitment to investing in those who served in uniform.”

The event will be shown via a live webcast from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort for those unable to attend, with limited space still available. For more information, find complete details on the Disney Parks Blog.
