You Don’t Have To Be A Wedding Guest To See This Exclusive Disney Spot

Walt Disney World provides the perfect place for couples to visit and make memories. The Disney Parks and Resorts offer many incredible spots for that all important question to be asked too; ‘will you marry me?’ And for those Guests who really do love Disney, then it seems only right that they choose to get married at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Disney Plus has provided viewers from around the world the opportunity to watch couples get engaged and married in Lake Buena Vista, Disney’s Aulani Resort and on Disney Cruise Line with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings. Viewers get a real insight into the services offered by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, and the magic they can create to make somebody’s wedding day extra magical. The program also provides inspiration for couples who would rather bring Disney to them, rather than travel to the Disney Parks for their special day.

Most of the locations that couples can choose to get married in, around the Walt Disney World Resort are accessible to all Guests. But there’s one location that Guests may think is out of bounds, unless they are a wedding guest. Let us share how you can visit Disney’s exclusive wedding venue without attending a wedding.

Disney’s Wedding Pavilion

Nestled on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon, between Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, is Disney’s Wedding Pavilion. Many Guests will recognise the name from the Disney Monorail, when using the Disney Express Monorail to and from Magic Kingdom.

Disney’s Wedding Pavilion sits on its own private island, offering stunning views over Seven Seas Lagoon, with a perfect view of Cinderella Castle in the distance. Guests can pass through the white and gold gates, across an arch-adorned foot bridge to the island.

Inside the nondenominational wedding chapel, Guests are treated to soaring Victorian spires, with an airy ceiling. Beautiful stained-glass windows around the chapel provide a storybook setting. The alter sits upon a raised platform, and has the perfect backdrop of Cinderella Castle, framed by a large arched window. The aisle is flanked by white pews that add to the fairytale romance created by this stunning venue.

Disney’s Wedding Pavilion is surrounded by manicured grounds and beautiful gardens that Guests can wander when visiting. This exclusive venue also has a beautiful ivy trellis arch that is crowned by two intertwined golden wedding rings, known as Picture Point. Stand beneath the arch, to get a perfect view of Cinderella Castle across the water. It certainly offers the most magical photo spot!

How to get there

Disney’s Wedding Pavilion can be accessed from either Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

If walking from Disney’s Polynesian Village, you’ll want to exit the Grand Ceremonial House near Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. Follow the path ahead, passing the marina to your right. You’ll pass the Fiji building to your right, and the Aotearoa building to your left. Walk along the path with the beach to your right, and alongside the Disney Monorail line until you reach Franck’s Bridal Studio. To the right, you’ll see the gates to Disney’s Wedding Pavilion.

If walking from Disney’s Grand Floridian, you’ll want to follow the path along the beach front, passing The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian to your right. At the end of the path, you will be facing Franck’s Studio, and to your left, will be the gates to Disney’s Wedding Pavilion.

As long as there isn’t a Disney wedding going on at your time of visit, you will be able to explore the grounds of Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, and maybe even get to look inside the wedding chapel. Check by the gates to see what times the location will be in use for that day.

Visit during the afternoon

Afternoon can be a great time to visit Disney’s Wedding Pavilion. Maybe you’ve spent the morning at Magic Kingdom, and are wanting to explore Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. A walk across to Disney’s exclusive wedding venue can also make for a great way to digest after dining in the Grand Floridian Cafe.

Visit during the evening

As long as there isn’t a wedding taking place at 7:30 p.m., Disney’s Wedding Pavilion is a beautiful place to visit at sunset. Enjoy the colors over Seven Seas Lagoon, before walking to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for the evening.

You may even choose to stay on the island and watch Disney Enchantment from under the wedding arch in the gardens of Disney’s Wedding Pavilion. This would make for a romantic date evening!

Finish up with cocktails

As Disney’s Wedding Pavilion is within walking distance of two of the Disney Deluxe Resorts, why not finish up your visit with cocktails?

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village is a fun spot to enjoy incredible theming, fruity cocktails, and an all-round immersive experience. If you’d rather not wait for a table there, enjoy the same cocktails on Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace. Alternatively, head inside the Grand Ceremonial House and sip on cocktails in Tambu Lounge.

If you’d prefer to head to Disney’s Grand Floridian, visit The Enchanted Rose. This elegant lounge is themed after Beauty and the Beast (2017), and serves up exquisite appetizers and enchanted drinks. With four spaces to take a seat in, you’ll be captured by the details of this stunning lounge.

Whenever you choose to visit Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, we’re sure that you won’t be disappointed by the beauty and views you will experience. Whilst it would be perfect to experience this exclusive location by attending a Disney Fairytale Wedding, that opportunity may not always present itself. However you get to experience it, Disney’s Wedding Pavilion is a truly stunning piece of magic, that will only add to your Disney experience.
