A beloved Disney treat has unexpectedly vanished from one of Disneyland Resort’s most popular hangouts, leaving many fans disappointed and unsure when it might return. Dole Whip, the refreshing pineapple soft serve that has become a vacation tradition for countless Disney Park guests, is no longer available at one of the resort’s iconic dining locations — and there’s no word on when it will come back.

Dole Whip has been a staple of Disney snack culture for decades. The dairy-free pineapple dessert is most well-known in Adventureland at Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park, where guests can order it in a cup or as a float with pineapple juice. Over the years, Disney has expanded the lineup with swirls and seasonal fruit flavors, such as lemon, lime, and strawberry, and made the treat available at other theme park locations, Disney Resort hotels, and even Disney Springs. Disney Parks fans return year after year to enjoy the creamy frozen dessert in all its variations.

One of the most popular alternative spots to enjoy Dole Whip at Disneyland Resort is Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar, the Jungle Cruise-inspired lounge at the Disneyland Hotel. Known for its immersive theming, tiki mugs, and rum cocktails, Trader Sam’s has long offered its own spin on the classic pineapple soft serve, mixing it with spirits to create tropical frozen drinks. Recently, though, disappointed guests have found the treat missing from the menu.

On Saturday, Reddit user u/Savedbythebell98 shared that Trader Sam’s Dole Whip machine was “out of service” for the day. Disney cast members at the bar reportedly could not say when the fan-favorite dessert would be available again. One commenter, u/TheRealTupacboy, added that this wasn’t a new issue: “It was out of service last week too.”

So far, Disney has not shared whether the machine has been repaired or when Dole Whip might return to Trader Sam’s. For now, guests hoping to order a frozen pineapple treat will need to look elsewhere at Disneyland Resort.

Trader Sam’s continues to serve its menu of themed craft cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks in collectible mugs, along with a limited lineup of food items. Families are welcome during the day, but the lounge switches to 21+ only after 8:00 p.m. Advanced reservations are recommended, though a same-day walk-up list is available (access is not guaranteed).
