Disney Tips Your Guide To A Great Disney Vacation
Spaceship Earth is taking on an all-new glow this week for 4th of July in EPCOT, and it looks magical!
Last year, the “Beacons of Magic” were introduced as new lighting packages on all four Park icons around the Walt Disney World Resort in honor of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” Ever since then, EPCOT has continued to receive new updates to the lighting on Spaceship Earth for special events, and the latest edition will debut tonight in celebration of the 4th of July.

Creative Portfolio Executive of Walt Disney Imagineering Zach Riddley shared a first look at the gorgeous new patriotic-inspired glow coming to Spaceship Earth on his Instagram account saying:
Spaceship Earth is ready to shine brightly with a very limited-time ambient lighting design celebrating Independence Day.
Check out this stunning visual sequence for four nights only – starting tonight July 1st here at EPCOT. Happy Fourth of July.

The lighting packages on Spaceship Earth have been extremely popular with Guests visiting the Park since they first debuted with the Rainbow Connection version, featuring music by Kermit the Frog himself, earlier this year during the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
For more patriotic festivities around EPCOT this 4th of July, be sure to visit the American Adventure pavilion. Seeing the American Adventure show or enjoying an a cappella performance by the Voices of Liberty is always a great way to celebrate the 4th.

In years past, EPCOT has also had character meet-and-greets at the American Adventure pavilion with Mickey, Minnie, and friends all wearing patriotic clothing. Disney has not officially announced any other 4th of July experiences for EPCOT aside from this lighting package, but if you are in the Park it is worth stopping by the American Adventure to see what might be going on.
