The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival may have ended June 1, but guests arriving at the park on Wednesday got their first real look at what EPCOT looks like in its absence.
The Festival Blooms Are Coming Out
On Wednesday, WDWNT shared a photo of the grassy stretch along the World Showcase Lagoon where the Festival Blooms flowerbeds had spent the spring bringing EPCOT’s shoreline to life. The elaborate flowerbed murals — typically shaped into butterflies and floral imagery using carefully planted and arranged colorful plants — are gone from the west side of the lagoon near The Odyssey Pavilion, leaving behind an open field with some dirt patches.
The east side Festival Blooms along the World Showcase Lagoon are still intact as of Wednesday, but Walt Disney World Resort’s horticulture team is expected to pull those in the coming days as the full post-festival transition continues across the second Central Florida Disney park.
The festival cleanup has also brought a separate and more permanent-feeling change to The Odyssey building. The “Citrus Blossom” decals that identified the structure as a limited-time EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival food-and-beverage location have been stripped from the exterior. New signage has taken its place, with Walt Disney World Resort indicating plans to convert the space into something called “Light Lounge.”
The Festival Calendar Going Forward
With the International Flower & Garden Festival behind it, EPCOT now heads into a quieter stretch before the next major seasonal event arrives. The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is scheduled to begin August 27, 2026, running through November 21.
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is expected to follow on November 27 — the traditional Friday-after-Thanksgiving launch date — and continue through December 30, 2026. Walt Disney World Resort has not formally confirmed those dates, though the annual pattern has been consistent enough that guests can reasonably plan around them.
