EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional Returns

Walt Disney World will be returning the popular holiday event to EPCOT this Christmas season.

What is the Candlelight Processional?

Located in the America Gardens Theatre across from the American Adventure in World Showcase, a celebrity narrator recounts the biblical story of Christmas. The presentation also combines songs of hope and joy performed by a live 50-piece orchestra and choir. The show is part of EPCOT’s annual International Festival of the Holidays.

Although Disney has not yet released its schedule of this year’s celebrity narrators, notable presenters from last year include Whoopi Goldberg, Josh Gad, Gloria Estefan, Neil Patrick Harris, and Angela Bassett.

The Candlelight Processional dates are EXPECTED to be from November 24 to December 30, 2023, but the official dates have yet to be released.

As with previous years, Disney’s also expected to offer Candlelight Processional Dining Packages. In the past, you could buy the package for dining options at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Norway Pavilion), Biergarten Restaurant (Germany Pavilion), the Coral Reef Restaurant (The Living Seas), Garden Grill Restaurant (The Land Pavilion), Le Cellier Steakhouse (Canada Pavilion), Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue (American Adventure Pavilion), Rose & Crown Dining Room (United Kingdom Pavilion), and the Spice Road Table (Morocco Pavilion).

The packages ranged last year from $40-$100 for adults ($28-$51 for children) and included one guaranteed seat per person to the processional.

For those interested in partaking in the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, please remember that the event will likely be crowded and that at least half of the theater seats will be occupied by those who have purchased the dining package.
