Cassidy and Ryan McClendon had taken their three children on a surprise vacation to Walt Disney World to celebrate the younger children’s birthdays. But when they woke up on the second day of their Disney World vacation, they discovered their truck had been stolen from the parking lot of the Comfort Suites they’d been staying at.

In her Facebook post detailing what happened, Cassidy shares that car seats, iPads, Apple Watches, an iPhone, a toolbox, and “multiple other valuables” had been stolen along with the truck.

Cassidy told Fox 35, “We woke up the next morning to head out, to go to Disney, and the truck was missing […] So, we didn’t get to do anything. We were stuck in the hotel room all day. The kids were very upset.”

Now that a report regarding the incident has been made with the police, there’s not much the family can do but wait. The Orlando Police Department is currently looking for the stolen car and valuables, but now that the Apple products are “disconnected,” according to McClendon, it may be harder to track them down.

The Orlando Police aren’t the only ones looking for this stolen truck. Cassidy’s Facebook post has resonated with hundreds of people, and many of them have commented, saying that this has happened to them during their Walt Disney World vacation.

Cassidy’s Facebook post asks audiences to keep an eye out for the family’s stolen truck and leaves a phone number in case anyone sees it.

Although there hasn’t been any update, we’re certainly hoping for a happy ending for this family of five.
