Favorite Disney World Signature Restaurant Launches New Menu

The Walt Disney World Resort boasts several incredible signature dining experiences, and one of our favorites can be found right in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Whether you just want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of “Hollywood,” or are looking to book a Fantasmic! Dining Package, one beloved restaurant in this Disney Park has several menu updates you’ll want to note ahead of your next trip.

The Hollywood Brown Derby, located right off Hollywood Boulevard, is known for its recreation of the original location that invented the Cobb Salad (and don’t worry, this, along with the restaurant’s iconic grapefruit cake is still on the menu!) The restaurant is, however, serving up new appetizers and entrees this spring and summer, and the Disney Parks Blog just shared a first look at what’s available on the new menu.

For appetizers, some returning favorites include the Crab Louie with crispy olive bread, citrus blend, fried capers, and Louie sauce, along with a fresh shrimp cocktail. The Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad with shaved onions, Thai basil, gremolata, and a citrus vinaigrette is another addition (and a tasty one at that. We tried it last month and our photo, below, does not do it justice.)

For something as savory as it is delicious, the Charcuterie Board, and Escargot featuring roasted garlic béchamel and crispy prosciutto are excellent choices as well.

In terms of entrees, this restaurant is known for its filet mignon, which remains on the menu along with the lamb shank. New additions include Free-Range Chicken and Dumplings with a lemon-ricotta Gnudi, shishito cream, and a gooseberry jus.

Also on the new seasonal menu is a Grill Pork dish with lavender-sage polenta, corn salsa, and huckleberry barbecue sauce, plus the new Sustainable Fish and the Seafood Cioppino with white bean ragout, derby summer vegetables, and roasted tomato emulsion accompanying shrimp, sea scallops, seasonal fish, mussels, and a toasted baguette in tomato broth.

The final addition to the new menu is a unique take on a classic: Shepherd’s Pie. The Brown Derby’s version is a plant-based offering made with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, mushrooms, peas, corn, and carrot Romesco.
