After More Than Three Years, This Beloved Disney Dining Experience Is Finally Returning

The Walt Disney World Resort is a different place than it was three years ago. When the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world as we knew it, Disney World (along with most everything else) closed to comply with health and safety guidance at the time.

In the years since reopening, we have seen most areas of the Resort return to normal, but for Disney foodies, one of the best dining experiences had remained missing.

One of the best Disney Parks for foodies is, without a doubt, EPCOT. Between the countries of World Showcase offering a way for Guests to taste their way “around the world,” and specialty locations throughout the rest of the Park like the new Connections Cafe & Eatery and the classic Coral Reef Restaurant, there is something for every taste and budget in EPCOT.

This Disney Park is also home to some of the best character dining experiences at Walt Disney World. In Norway, Guests can dine with the princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, which recently brought back breakfast and lunch for the first time since 2020. 

In World Nature, the Garden Grill Restaurant features character dining in a totally unique setting as the restaurant slowly rotates through scenes of Living with the Land during your meal. And while this location had been open for lunch and dinner, we finally know when breakfast will return.

Disney’s official website has confirmed that breakfast will be back at Garden Grill Restaurant beginning June 14, 2023. Reservations for breakfast are not yet available, but are typically able to be made 60 days in advance so we expect them to go online soon. 

Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast, aka family-style, all-you-care-to-enjoy dining, includes cinnamon bread, scrambled eggs, cheesy potato casserole, Mickey-shaped waffles, and a few additional specialties for breakfast as Guests dine with characters like Chip ‘n’ Dale of course, plus Mickey and Pluto.

Disney has not yet confirmed pricing for the return of breakfast to Garden Grill Restaurant; however, lunch and dinner run $55 for adults and $36 for children. While it is possible that breakfast will be different, we would expect pricing to be similar where that is often the case for character dining experiences.
