This Is the Most Underrated Restaurant in EPCOT

EPCOT is a foodie’s paradise! Between special events like the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival unique dining options in each of the 11 pavilions of World Showcase, and one of Disney World’s best new quick-service options with Connections Cafe and Eatery, there is a lot to try in this Disney Park.

In fact, there are so many great restaurants in EPCOT that some of our favorites fly under the radar. And one of the most underrated places to eat at this Disney Park comes with an enticing menu, waterfront views, and best of all, it doesn’t require a reservation!

We’re talking about Spice Road Table, which offers a waterside, table-service lounge experience in the Park’s Morocco pavilion.

Spice Road Table features Moroccan cuisine in the form of shareable small plates and a full bar menu with some of EPCOT’s best cocktails, sangrias, and mint tea. For eats, Guests often enjoy Spice Road Table’s house-made hummus fries, spicy shrimp made with chili, garlic, and Peri Peri Sauce, and the grilled lamb kefta just to name a few.

With each plate priced at $15 or less, including a $9 shareable dessert platter, Spice Road Table is easily the most budget-friendly table-service restaurant in EPCOT. Alcoholic beverages in Walt Disney World are never “inexpensive” but in comparison to other options, even the drink menu at Spice Road Table has selections of beer and wine for just $10 and house-made red, white, rosé, or sparkling sangria for $13/glass or $38/pitcher.

Unlike the other table-service restaurants that Guests can find around World Showcase Lagoon, Spice Road Table does not take reservations. Without the ability for reservations to be booked up in advance, Guests can often walk-up and find a table at Spice Road Table, which can be a game changer on a busy day in EPCOT. (We should note though that given this location’s views of World Showcase Lagoon, tables are more difficult to come by before Harmonious, the Park’s fireworks show.)

And, if you are a fan of Moroccan food, you need to add Spice Road Table to your list simply because this is the only table-service restaurant currently available in the Morocco pavilion. Restaurant Marrakesh, which has remained closed since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic will soon become home of the Florida Blue Medicare Lounge. The pavilion’s quick-service restaurant, Tangierine Cafe, is still available.

With so many restaurants in EPCOT, Spice Road Table isn’t the only underrated location. If you are looking for more World Showcase eats you have not yet tried, you may want to look into:

• Nine Dragons – Located in the China pavilion of World Showcase, this restaurant is often written off as something similar to what Guests could find at home. The food here is truly delicious though, it is often easy to get a reservation, and it is more affordable than many World Showcase counterparts.
• Biergarten – The Germany pavilion’s unique take on a traditional Oktoberfest experience comes with an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet and live performances. For dinner and a show, you can’t go wrong!
