Walt Disney World is a foodie’s paradise, still some restaurants manage to fly under the radar despite how wonderful of an experience they offer.
In the Magic Kingdom, it is easy for some restaurants to fall to the wayside when this Disney Park has dining experiences like Cinderella’s Royal Table, Be Our Guest, and the Crystal Palace, just to name a few.
There is one Disney table-service restaurant in this Park that is often forgotton, but it is one of our favorite spots for a casual (and affordable!) lunch and dinner complete with delicious ice cream for dessert.

The Plaza Restaurant, located right on Main Street, U.S.A. offers an ever-changing menu of sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes, and lots of ice cream for dessert right in the heart of the Magic Kingdom. Currently open for lunch and dinner, entrees at The Plaza Restaurant are priced from $20-23 making this location one of the most afforable table-service restaurants in this Disney Park.
The menu at the Plaza Restaurant changes often, so even if you have dined at this location before, there is always something new and delicious to try. One of the most popular menu items currently is the Chicken Sandwich made with a delightfully seasoned fried chicken breast and topped with pickled onion, cabbage, and spicy mayonaisse.

When the menu changes for the winter months, the Plaza Restaurant has often featured more comfort food-inspired dishes, like this fan-favorite pot roast macaroni and cheese, in addition to meatloaf which is often on the menu all year.
If you are looking for something simpler but still worth ordering, the burgers at The Plaza are a step up from the Park’s quick-service options for only a slight added expense. And, in addition to The Plaza Burger that comes with changing specialty toppings, an Impossible Burger is also available for Guests looking for a plant-based option.

You can’t leave The Plaza Restaurant without ordering ice cream or a milkshake! The restaurant offers all of the classic shake flavors along with sundaes like classic banana splits and specialty options exclusive to The Plaza.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, breakfast was also available at The Plaza Restaurant in addition to daily lunch and dinner offerings. We have no word so far on if or when breakfast might return, but we really enjoyed it for a more casual table-service breakfast spot inside the Magic Kingdom.
Reservations are always recommended for Disney table-service restaurants, and you can often score reservations at The Plaza (at least at non-peak hours) when other restaurants have filled up.
