One of the ways that Walt Disney World brings the magic to life for guests is through character interactions that bring beloved faces to life for guests of all ages. Guests who spend time on the property can meet classic characters like Minnie and Goofy, Disney Princesses like Ariel, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty, and other favorite characters like Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, and Winnie the Pooh. While all of these characters are great, most guests who travel to Walt Disney World want to meet the mouse himself. Luckily, Mickey Mouse can be found throughout the Disney Resorts and Disney Parks in a variety of experiences, ensuring that all guests have the opportunity to meet him. Whether through a character meal, nighttime show, or special meet and greet, guests are definitely sure to have a magical experience with Mickey while on vacation. Here are the top eight ways for guests to get their Mickey Mouse fix while enjoying a vacation in Walt Disney World.

1. Fantasmic

All guests who visit Walt Disney World simply must enjoy a nighttime show and one of the ones featured in Disney’s Hollywood Studios lets Mickey be the star. Fantasmic is performed each night in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater and brings guests on an epic journey with Mickey in his imagination as he puts his forces of good against evil. Mickey can be found bravely battling dragons and performing a thrilling finale in this magical show that combines beloved music and characters with thrills and special effects.

2. Mickey Ears

One souvenir that many guests consider to be an essential part of a Disney wardrobe pay homage to the mouse himself while also showing off personal style and other character traits. Mickey Ears are sold virtually everywhere on property and guests can enjoy the traditional black versions with their names embroidered on the back or dozens of other options. Many guests love to purchase stylized Mickey Ears that use subtle details to bring other characters to life such as Figment, Donald, and the Mad Hatter.

3. Mickey Waffle

In addition to sporting Mouse Ears, there is an iconic food that guests consider to be a must have indulgence on each Disney vacation. Mickey Waffles are served in many restaurants throughout Walt Disney World and they are always warm and feature Mickey’s smiling face. Whether with syrup, whipped cream, or fruit, Mickey Waffles are the perfect way to start off any magical day in Disney with Mickey.

4. Mickey Pretzel

Those looking to enjoy a food item that is considered to be more of a snack can still enjoy it in Mickey form. Mickey Pretzels are large soft pretzels that are generously sprinkled with salt and served warm, often times accompanied by a warm cheese dipping sauce. Guests love to indulge in these tasty Mickey-shaped snacks, and a great place to try one is in the Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland on the banks of the Rivers of America.

5. Garden Grill Restaurant

The Land Pavilion in Epcot is home to the popular attraction Soarin’ Around the World in addition to a popular full service dining location that is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Garden Grill Restaurant is unique in that it slowly rotates while guests can enjoy delicious meals often including ingredients grown right there in the greenhouses of The Land! Guests also love to enjoy meals at the Garden Grill Restaurant as Farmer Mickey and friends go from table to table offering up hugs and autographs and posing for photos.

6. Town Square Theater

Main Street in the Magic Kingdom is home to a wonderful theater that houses a great act. Town Square Theater can be found next door to Tony’s Town Square Restaurant and invites guests inside to meet Mickey. Mickey is greeting guests decked out in his Magician outfit, ready for hugs and autographs. Guests love to meet Mickey at the Town Square Theater as there is also a PhotoPass Cast Member on hand to capture all of the magic!

7. Chef Mickey’s

A favorite restaurant of many guests who love Mickey can be found in the main level of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Chef Mickey’s is open daily for breakfast, brunch, and dinner and serves up classic American cuisine in an open air dining location. Guests can munch on delicious food, enjoy the monorail silently passing by overhead, and also meet Chef Mickey and friends who have worked hard on creating this wonderful meal. Throughout each meal, Mickey and friends also love to get guests dancing and marching around the restaurant!

8. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Guests who visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2020 will be able to enjoy a brand new attraction that celebrates Mickey and friends. Housed in the building where the Great Movie Ride used to preside, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will use 2 ½ D to bring guests into the cartoons with Minnie and Mickey and off on a wild railway journey with Goofy as engineer. While many details about the attraction are not clear yet, it will definitely be an amazing experience in Walt Disney World!
