A Walt Disney World Resort guest is under fire for posting a video of their mother on a Disney Park ride shortly after emergency surgery. The family is accused of ignoring safety warnings and risking their mother’s health on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which replaced The Great Movie Ride in the Chinese Theatre, is a family-friendly trackless attraction with no height requirement. It invites guests into a cartoon alongside Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, and their friends.

The attraction is considered safe for pregnant mothers and has no posted safety warnings, but planDisney advises guests that it could cause motion sickness.

Although Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway has no official safety warnings, some Disney Parks fans have slammed Audrey Bennett (@audrey__3234 on TikTok) after her mother rode the attraction shortly after having emergency surgery.

The Disney’s Hollywood Studios guest shared this video of her mom enjoying the attraction until they reached Daisy Duck’s dance studio, where the ride vehicles sway from side to side and mimic dancing:

“POV: your mom just had emergency 2 days ago and you thought she’d be okay to ride the mickey and Minnie ride and then [Daisy] breaks out the CHA CHA,” the Walt Disney World Resort guest wrote.

The video amassed tens of thousands of likes, views, and comments.

“Accidentally setting your mom up is hilarious,” said @dfw.kimmy08.

Still, some Disney Parks fans didn’t find the video funny.

“You know the signs that clearly say not to ride if you’ve just had surgery,” said @mother_of_moth.

“I may be stupid, but what is funny about this besides the people laughing?” @forgotten4today asked.

“As a CM there, reminder for everyone to read the description of our rides,” @pyroangel27 commented. “Our main priority is safety! If we are in show, don’t be afraid to ask for the realism if safety is involved.”

Bennett said they asked a Disney cast member if it was safe for her mom to ride.

“We asked a worker and he said she’d be fine,” Bennett replied.

Luckily, Bennett’s mom had no lasting effects and ultimately enjoyed her ride on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
