This In-Room Disney Resort Amenity Is Being Retired

It’s the small touches that make a Walt Disney World vacation truly memorable, from the attention to detail in different themed areas of Disney Parks and Resorts to magical moments with Cast Members and everything in between.

For Guests staying at Disney Resorts, their accommodations come with not only clean and comfortable places to spend the night but also amenities that are exclusive to Guests at each Resort. These amenities can range from early entry into the theme parks to Club Level snack spreads, complimentary transportation, and more.

If you have stayed at Disney Resorts frequently, you are probably familiar with the line of H2O bath products that can be found in each Guest room across Walt Disney World property. Unfortunately, the brand just announced that H2O will be retiring by the end of the year. Here’s what this change could mean for your next stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

The H2O brand behind the bath items Guests use at Disney Resorts (and at Aulani and Disney Cruise Line) announced on their website this morning that the products will be retired by the end of this year:

THANK YOU FOR 33 YEARS
After 30+ amazing years of innovation, we have made the very difficult decision to retire the brand at the end of the year. Shop your favorites on Amazon while supplies last.

As for Disney-specific H2O products, shopDisney has select items marked down to 30% off with a note currently posted on the site that reads:

Get 30% Off H2O+ Must-Haves
Save on skincare, haircare and more before they’re gone forever on September 30.

H2O bath products, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion, along with other items exclusive to Disney Deluxe Resorts or exclusive suites, have been a staple part of the Disney Resort experience for a number of years.

Guests were even disappointed years ago when the products in all rooms except for those at Deluxe Resorts were replaced with refillable shower attachments as this change limited Guests’ ability to take home the unused H2O products (though full-sized packages have been available in Resort gift shops and on shopDisney.)

H2O+ currently creates bath products for the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney’s Aulani Resort, Disney Cruise Line, and even the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser which features H2O’s exclusive Chandrila Star Line bubble masks in each Guest cabin.

We will continue to monitor the change as we get closer to H2O’s retirement at the end of the year and will be sure to share more information here on DisneyTips as we know more. In the meantime, you may want to start shopping for H2O products before they’re gone!
