Halloween on the High Seas Arrives on the Disney Wish

Spooky season is here, and with it comes new Halloween experiences for Guests to enjoy while setting sail with Disney Cruise Line.

Halloween on the High Seas offers a fan-favorite seasonal event lineup for Disney Cruise Line Guests, and the experience has become even more exciting this year with the first Halloween season for the Disney Wish, which launched this summer.

The Disney Wish takes Halloween decor and theming to the next level (just look at the Grand Hall, pictured above!) Fall-inspired pumpkins, garland, and florals fill the main atrium of the ship, creating the perfect backdrops for seasonably appropriate photo ops for Guests onboard.

The Grand Hall also features a brand new Pumpkin Tree, which the Disney Parks Blog notes is an important seasonal fixture on all Disney Cruise Line ships. Just as the ship has its own unique design and personality to it, the pumpkin tree does as well. This tree, appropriately named Boo! grows the gourds that will eventually become the coach that takes Cinderella to the ball.

One of the most highly anticipated Halloween experiences aboard the Disney Wish is the new character meet and greet featuring Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow dressed up as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus (1993). This meet and greet is only available during Halloween on the High Seas sailings, so it is sure to be extremely popular during each cruise this month.

Disney also shared a packed list of favorite Halloween experiences Guests can plan for during their sailing including:

  • Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party: Join your favorite Disney characters in Halloween attire for a fun-filled costume party.
  • Halloween Isn’t Just For Kids: Adult-exclusive venues across the fleet become a ghoulish setting for costume contests and a Villainous Takeover on the dance floor.
  • Spooky Movies: To get guests into the spirit of the season, Halloween-themed movies will be shown on Funnel Vision by the family pool and in staterooms.
  • Ghoulish Delights: Enjoy special themed food and beverage items around the ship — and don’t forget about the trick-or-treating.

There is still time to book a Halloween on the High Seas cruise for this year with availability remaining on select sailings. The Disney Wish is currently offering 3-4 night itineraries from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas with stops at Castaway Cay, and it will continue these itineraries through the remainder of the season.

2023 Disney Cruise Line sailings are also available to book now, so if this year doesn’t work out you can always start planning for next year. Happy Halloween!
